Coffee Table

OK people, the liberal media is finally saying at least something about the evidence of a deception. The Republicans are reexamining their priorities. The President is trying to pull it off again, for about the third time. I was miss informed, they thought so too, you are harming the troops, you are harming America. Lets all go back to those glory days of the election! Don't let them get away with it again!!!! Let's stop this here and now. We have the momentum. The prom queen is wearing no dress. This party is over.

Forever Fox

Thanks to Tim for the link. What if we had always had a liberal media?

Who Really Hates America

Just as I was actually starting to feel a little bit sorry for the slimy weasel , here he goes again! Questioning my patriotism and telling me I am killing our troops. Yep, that'll guilt trip me right into neocon alignment. ....NOT!!!!!! Ya know what, saying stuff like this PROVES he's not my President and doesn't want to be. When that is his best arguement he's sunk. The Democrats told me I could! What!? They trusted the President. That is where they were wrong. He can take all his guilt trips and stick'em up his ass!!~!

Election

With Americans voting tomorrow I thought it would be appropriate to look at this piece.

Democratic Rep. Gordon added, "The foundation of democracy rests upon the accuracy, integrity and security of our voting system".....

"[C]oncerns about electronic voting machines have been realized and have caused problems with recent elections, resulting in the loss and miscount of votes."That's just one of the chilling revelations from the non-partisan Government Accountability Office's (GAO) 107-page report on the security of Election Voting Machines in America
The report "analyzed over 80 recent and relevant reports related to the security and reliability of electronic voting systems." The results confirm a range of security vulnerabilities and violations in Electronic Voting Machines in recent elections and the accompanying systems used to administer elections in the United States of America.

This should be a totally non-partisan issue. We should have a FAIR vote. Nothing else matters. This IS the very foundation of our democracy.

(Non) Patriot Act

I sure wish we could fight this. I almost feel like we have lost it.

I've had people say, you know, 'Hey, I don't care, I've done nothing to be concerned about. You can have me in your files and that's that.' Some people take that approach."

Not Me!!!! What is it that is going to be considered "wrong" or not allowed in the future? When is some cabal going to decide to secretly get information that they need to eliminate all "undesirables"?

Even a far right winger like Bob Barr, whom I think I agree with on nothing else is in agreement on this.

Barr, the former congressman, said that "the abuse is in the power itself."
"As a conservative," he said, "I really resent an administration that calls itself conservative taking the position that the burden is on the citizen to show the government has abused power, and otherwise shut up and comply."

It has nothing to do with any Americans' definition of America. It's a dictionary definition of police state.

Main Entry: police stateFunction: noun: a political unit characterized by repressive governmental control of political, economic, and social life usually by an arbitrary exercise of power by police and especially secret police in place of regular operation of administrative and judicial organs of the government according to publicly known legal procedures

If people actually realized what was happening they would be appalled. Thank the "liberal media" for helping maintain the secret.

Torture

Let me get this straight. You are telling me these guys would fly airplanes into buildings, strap a bomb on themselves and detonate it, and we are going to get them to talk with torture? These guys are stupid and dangerous to Americans and the kind of country we are trying to build.

Hagel: A leading Republican senator said Sunday that the Bush administration is making "a terrible mistake" in opposing a congressional ban on torture and other inhuman treatment of prisoners in U.S. custody.

Appearing with Hatch on CBS‘s "Face the Nation," Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., said cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment of prisoners "is not what America is all about. Those aren‘t the values that we‘re fighting for."

These guys even think preemptive war is a good idea. New name for them, the Apocalypse Gang.
