Double Triple Quadruple That Yea!!
Udall beat Pearce, too!!!
By 60-40%-was so jazzed I had to call The Maniac who was unsurprised and gave the veterans credit cuz they hate Pearce (for good reason.)
Teague beat Tingsley even after the Domenici ad. Yes!! There is justice in the world after all. His local field coordinator was so dead tired today that he looked terrible. Truthfully, all these kids who came here to work their hearts out for Obama/Biden and Udall and Teague deserve more thanks and credit than we will ever be able to give them.
Not to mention many volunteers who live here and others who came from out of state. What I think is very cool on my part is that my last real canvassing was in the same area where I hung doorknockers for Obama just before the caucus-kinda like coming full circle.
Hear that Mark H. won and the guy from #3 was winning, so that would make NM all blue. :-)!!!
Didn't go to the party, but just as well. Glad that I got to share this historic moment with my 18 yr. old son who urged me to GObama from the beginning. Pretty cool-first time I voted it was for Carter who won and the first time for him was for Obama who won. :-)
Wonder if Cindy has gotten around to bi*** slapping Palin yet? LOL

**** Chaves CO!!! I can't believe how many religious wackos, gun nuts, racists,
and pure morons live here along with the greedy ones. We lost in every race except TJ's brother who was running unopposed (again).
Even Judge Shoobridge lost here. Thank God, the rest of NM isn't so braindead!
At least Udall, Teague, Heinrich, and maybe Lujan (gotta look that one up), and of course, Obama & Biden won despite the local morons who voted for the despicable Pearce in a landslide. I feel so sorry for the kids who worked so hard here. They got a really impossible task. They get A+ for effort, tho. Go look up the results online (Roswell Daily Record).
Be glad you're moving back to CO where there are so many more people with brains, true Christian values, and sanity.

Lujan won-so that's all Dem for all 3 Districts for the U.S. House, 2 U.S. Senators who are Dems, and Obama and Biden. Yea!!! Did I mention that my favorite color in the world is BLUE? :-)

Looks like Robo Tim Jennings (D-Roswell)didn't do so well on his power play to remain Senate Pro Tem. R Senate Whip Rawson of Las Cruces apparently lost his election to the D challenger. Even if he manages to get the Pro Tem position again, with the decrease in percentage of State population in SENM look for his district to be combined with much of some R district (Adair?) come 2012.

Chaves and Otero county are registered around 70% republican. The fact the Republicans didn't get 70% means you did good work. It certainly contributed to the national victorys. Good work!
Well, I keep hearing statistics from my Vice-Chair's husband that the number of registered Dems is/was close to the number of registered Republicans, and that if you add in the Independents, Greens, etc. the Republicans are not the majority in Chaves CO.
Unfortunately, many of our Dems are apathetic and do not vote, many of them vote pro-life, and there is the element that is gun crazy, and the evangelicals who have been brainwashed.
Racism played its part in this election, too, and the anti-Obama sentiment hurt Teague, Udall, etc. in this part of the state.
Trust me, many of our Democrats voted for McCain, etc. Despicable!!!
Now, I really have to go.

Well what you are describing is not a democrat no matter what they want to call themselves.
But, dontcha know, Ron, that they call themselves patriotic Americans who respect the sanctity of life, honor the 2nd Amendment, love our flag and ask God to Bless America every night when they say their prayers, and by that same God, there was no way they were going to elect a (gasp) Muslim terrorist loving baby killing socialist who won't even say The Pledge of Alleigence and wants to change both our precious Constitution and our flag. (And did I mention that he's BLACK? They won't but it's the big factor here). Udall and Teague suffered from the backlash against Obama, but the locals never had a chance. God Bless America, but send Rozhell a wake-up call while you're at it!
