Our Point

The impression the rest of the world has of American Democracy will be an important part of the war on terror, finding allies, building democracies etc.
I often say that the right has no concept of how the rest of the world looks at us. Once again I am proved right...all this Haditha/troops talk, Hate America , liberal thought ruins our war effort....wonder what the mid east would think of our country if Rush or Anne or Sean were piped in? Here's a story that proves my point beyond a doubt about setting the example as a leader.

With its unflattering coverage of the killings and how the US army tried to subsequently cover them up, the American media has shown the world that the truth has to be told even when it is inconvenient............. They did it in the case of the Watergate scandal. They did this in the case of Vietnam highlighting the US actions. And they have done this in Iraq, repeatedly. After all, it had been the US media — along with the European media, of course — that first trained the spotlight on the way the case for this war was built. Again, it was a US journalist, Seymour Hersh, who brought us the shocking story of Abu Ghraib prison abuse. It was Hersh's report in the New Yorker that blew the whistle on the abuse and played a key role in stopping it bringing the guilty to justice. We in the Middle East need to learn from our Western friends.....The US media too could have chosen to ignore the Haditha killing as if it didn't take place because it involved their own Marines. Could we ever expect the media in the Arab and Muslim republics to act in the same courageous fashion, if it had involved their own soldiers? Unfortunately, the answer is in negative. How do we explain this difference? Because in the US and the West, the media is fiercely protective of the independence of its voice and acts as the watchdog of the society it serves. After all, a fair, balanced and just media has to report the truth as it is whether it involves Us or Them, whether it is good or bad. Dear readers, this is what we at the KT are striving to achieve.

Of course, Rush and Sean aren't leaders. Just circus clowns out for a buck. While the right bashes the Liberals and "liberal" media, we are winning the war for hearts and minds. The only way a final victory will come about. Rush is wrong. You my liberal friend are doing the right thing. Even if it has no effect on the sheeple, it does help us win victories around the world.

Dear readers...Don't be discouraged by the talking heads, radio pundit American haters, and the sheeple who repeat their useless rants. It works the way we believe it should be done and the above is just one piece of proof.

More Fun With Blogging

A little more from the Blogisphere. Many of you know my hot button is this hate America idiocy. I just had to respond. This from an origional story about El Rushbo and how similar the evil terrorists and the evil liberals were.

Aw shucks. Is Rush saying stuff you don't want to hear again? You should try to muzzle him from saying stuiff you don't want to hear like you do at the universities you run with those nifty campus speech codes you seem to love.We can't have people saying anything that offends your delicate sensibilities, can we?
By: Boobbaiter on June 09, 2006 at 06:42am

Actually if you will note the number of comments we actually love the rushters freedom of speech. It gives us ample opportunity to point out all that is wrong with America. Like Sheeple

http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/...06/captured_zarqaw.html

Read the comments on the above story. Like this:

I cannot beleive this. What is the problem with you people. Do you hate America and Bush so much that you would report ANYTHING? If I had my way you media types would

What possible good will come out of ABC News posting the informants name other than to scare away others hoping to bring the violence to an end? Your action is totally irresponsible and shows no concern for either the man or his family which could be targets of reprisal.

Your news agency has (as usual) done a tremendous disservice to both the Iraqi citizens and the American soldeirs in the field. You're truly unbelievable! Why does the media feel it's necessary to reveal ALL OF THE DETAILS involving the attack on al-Zarqawi? Last night while watching the evening news I was floored when it was reported that al-Zarqawi's spiritual advisor led US Intelligence straight to the mass murderer. Why would such information be revealed? Even the surveillance pictures were shown on television. I have often felt the media tells too much. What disturbs me most about this incidence is we are still looking for Bin Laden! If the media reveals how we captured al-Zarqawi, Bin Laden will learn from those mistakes and continue to elude US Intelligence. Although al-Zarqawi's death is a huge victory, we still have a long way to go.

Many almost word for word. It is soooooo obvious that this was the "theme of the day" for some talking head. All the little sheeple went out and repeated it with no further investigation.

Now lets read what the story says:

Jordanian officials tell ABC News.

U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad told ABC News.

Geez I guess if ABC news hadn't reported it no one would know? Everybody is on to you dim bulbs..have an independent thought if you want to play in the big leagues.

Bet On It

This is a long post but worth the read if you wish to see the future and how it works.

Prrrrrobably...........Not

From Political Wire:

Bonus Quote of the Day
"I think the jury is still out on WMD."-- Rep. Curt Weldon (R-PA), quoted by the Delco Times, still holding out hope that weapons of mass destruction will be found in Iraq.

Everybody's 14

All day long I've been reading the rantings of 14 year olds...oh wait....those people were adults?...???? Gezz with all the playground insults I can't believe ..... Wow.

Listen people, we are never going to unite and save the country we all wish to preserve if we don't start acting like big people. Just insults, on both sides. Nobody spends much time on the news or what it means to them. Just what they are suuuuure it means to someone else. And of course it's never good. I sat here all day reading how liberals were so sad about this and we want America to lose and we talk just like the terrorists blah blah blah. On the left they were basically saying what was the "offical" line. Just a little more "vociferously". ..
..This is certainly a win but there is so much more to do and consider.
Neither side wants to give credit to the other because they fear that will negate their arguement on everything. Like....you were wrong on that and you are wrong on this too. Who cares??!!!

My take is this was precisely the RIGHT way to do it ! Lots of good investigation and finding the terrorist and then ....suprise.......BLAM. Few other casaulities just going after the terrorists. This is similar to the way "cut and run" Murtha wants to do it. Seems like this would engender far less hate and more cooperation from the rest of the world if we did it this way. But all the other side wants to say is we are for cut and run. The say this proving they know not of which they speak.

They try to roll out that "you side with the terrorist" thing. How imbecilic would you have to be to believe in that? Wait......Let me get this. The liberals hate fundamentalism, censorship, telling a woman what to do with their body, In favor of stem cell research et al and still they support the jhaidist whos philosophy is opposite on all those things. You'd have to be a pretty dim bulb to get anykind of enlightenment out of that. It's just a way, as Anne Coulter would say, to shut off debate.

Update: here
How can anyone listen this and get anything insightful, informative or a better understanding of policy or what is happening...it's all na na na na na na. Grown men(that actually HAVE a talk show) acting like children...shame.

A Leader Of Killers Bites It

President Cheney Works Thc Coverup

Don't let PNAC be unaccountable. Make them take personal responsiblity.

Heh!!! Is this another cover up or what? ..Why all the secrets?

Lies Lies Lies

New York, N.Y. Vanity Fair writer Craig Unger interviews nine former intelligence and military officials who have served in the C.I.A., the State Department, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Pentagon, all of whom say, on the record, that they believe the Niger documents were part of a campaign to deliberately mislead the American public. Some of the officials refer to the Niger documents as a disinformation campaign, black propaganda, or a classic psy-ops campaign.
The complete article can be found on Vanity Fair's website at
http://www.vanityfair.com/features/general/articles/060606fege02

Unger reports that the U.S. may have gone to war with Iraq not because of intelligence failures but because of an extraordinary intelligence success, specifically an effective campaign of disinformation which led the White House, the Pentagon, Britain’s M.I.6 intelligence service, and thousands of outlets in the American media to promote the falsehood that Saddam Hussein's nuclear-weapons program posed a grave risk to the United States."To me, there is no benign interpretation of this," Melvin Goodman, a former C.I.A. and State Department analyst, tells Unger. "At the highest level it was known the documents were forgeries. [Then deputy national security adviser] Stephen Hadley knew it. [Then national security adviser] Condi Rice knew it. Everyone at the highest level knew it." (Hadley and Rice declined to comment.)

Unger talks with Milt Bearden, a 30-year C.I.A. veteran, who tells him the intelligence gathering with regard to the Niger claim wasn't an accident. This wasn't 15 monkeys in a room with typewriters.
Unger cites at least 14 instances prior to the 2003 State of the Union address in which analysts at the C.I.A., the State Department, or other government agencies who had examined the Niger documents or reports about them raised serious doubts about their legitimacy only to be rebuffed by Bush-administration officials who wanted to use the material. They were just relentless, Larry Wilkerson, former chief of staff to Colin Powell, tells Unger. You would take it out and they would stick it back in. That was their favorite bureaucratic technique ruthless relentlessness.

Of course these nine along with the dozens of others who have said the same thing are weak of character or charlatans or some kind of enemy of the American way. Or just 15 monkeys with typewriters. How many times do people have to point this stuff out before the sheeple feel like they've been sheerd.

Dictionary Lesson

Insanity

Among the definitions of insanity:
3 a : extreme folly or unreasonableness b : something utterly foolish or unreasonable

Interesting TV tonight. Anne Coulter on Tucker Carlsons show. Thank God I didn't see it all. It could have been a comedy routine if she would have used different inflections. To bad she has such a self righteous attitude cuz she'd have quite an act there otherwise.
Rachel Maddow was on after her. Her note was that when Coulter accuses Liberals of not believing in science and takes the far right position on stem cell research in nearly the same paragraph(circles her finger around her ear a couple of times). Dead Spot On!
Little Anne first unloaded on 9/11 widows talking about how they shouldn't make policy for the United States. HUH?????? Now seriously, think about that. Does that make any sense at all. Think about it.....................................................................................OK.
Maybe you deduced as I did that there is no way the 9/11 widows could set policy for the United States. What she seems to be saying to me is that the 9/11 widows shouldn't be heard or considered. Think about it.............................................OK.
Tucker Carlson went on some rant on how he hated that Liberals always brought all these victims in for congressional testimony like they had anymore insight than anyone else. HUH?...............................Think about saw it with my own eyes...........................OK
Who says they are the only people testifying? I bet the gun lobby and drug lobby and every other interest group insisted on a hearing too. That's called liberal democracy. Real America! Everybody gets to be heard. They pretend to be for liberty and freedom but they really wish you would just shut up. Coulter accused the 9/11 victims of trying to shut off debate because they were who they are.
I talked to someone on the phone who told me about an incident with Matt Lauer this morning. Apparently Matt(obviously the dreaded "liberal media") Lauer questioned the idea of her saying that the Liberals were savage or uncivil or something to that effect. He noted that she said this while calling Liberals every name in the book. Think about that...........................
Her response? See there you go. ................................BWAHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Sorry Anne that was just too funny.......especially when you accuse people of trying to cut off debate and playing the victim card.

An Essay On Narrowmindedness

I will let this person remain anonymous. I found this on the WWW.

The MSM and the left care more about hanging this Haditha incident, if there is one to be had, on Bush than the daily atrocities committed by terror thugs trying foment a civil war because they're losing. That's right - they ARE losing. But the left keeps supplying terrorists with talking points and recruitment tools by hyping phony scandals.Day after day the piling on President Bush and his administration by the left is despicable, even treasonous. I don't see you all piling on the terrorists and speaking out against them daily. Why? Because your sniveling cowards without the dimmest clue on to battle these monsters. Got an idea? Let's hear it, jackasses... c'mon, just one little idea - no? I thought not. Your grand idea is to cut and run with Kennedy, Murtha, and Kerry leading the way.Did it ever occur to you selfish, liberal bastards that you owe your very freedoms and you big mouths to these brave men and women who serve the country? You treasonous creeps don't support the troops. Never did, never will. The troops deserve our respect, a presumption of innocence and due process. Just like the terror creeps at Gitmo and Saddam have. And you know what? If it turns out that a handful soldiers did commit murder, it doesn't change a damn thing. Painting all soldiers with the same "psycho" brush the way the left did during Vietnam isn't going to wash this time around. Not under our watch. You should be ashamed of the legacy of your party and what you all did to good men who served back then.

My response:
God eh you are really full of it. Its hard to find a more ill informed statement of pure hate than you made. You think its bush bashing bush hatred but look at your comments again and tell me who the hater is...how do I count the ways. First of all 99.99 percent(at least) of the people killed in Iraq HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11. How many times must we say that till you guys get what we are saying. Those people don't have the resources or desire(at least they didn't use to until bush gave them an excuse) to "blow up America" or whatever you think those dead people would have done. Who is it that is winning and just specifically who is it that is losing. Do you really have a clearly defined idea of who is on who's side? Let me suggest you are living in an illusion if you think you do..This is precisely why I feel sorry for our troops and want them to come home..Including the ones in Haditha. I don't want to live in your country if you think speaking out about what you want for this country and its people is treasonous. That's total utter complete BULLSHIT! I aint shutting up so you better come up with some other lame slogan cuz I stopped taking your guilt trip a long time ago. I am all for getting people that harm our country..that is not what we are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are tied up giving training to terrorists who are moving around the world while we are tied down in Iraq. That sounds like not a good plan to me..sorry.I have noted in a number of pieces on this blog commenting on this issue and you are making shit up! No liberals are disrespecting the troops. Maybe people think that if we are to be the greatest country in the world and lead we should set the standard or no one will respect us as a country, as a leader or a friend. That by the way is a part of my strategy to defeat the evil doers. We MUST have most of the rest of the world on our side to win. In that way we are losing. It's the PNAC plan that has caused that. Yes we do have other ideas on ways to do it, it is you that thinks there is only one way..the bush way. Admit it. Call me a coward..cut and run..more slogans, more guilt trip Im not on. Its the people like you that fail to even think another idea could work or that someone might have another Idea that are harming America. I don't see you condemning the terrorists much either..just your own countrymen because they don't happen to share your opinion on how to attack terrorism...lame brain.
By the way..in other wars we were fighting countries..Germany, Japan even North Vietnam...now according to what you righties say we are fighting terrorists..that is not the country of Iraq! You guys are thinking pre 9/11!

Peter Beinart points out why all this is important and why we shouldn't be sent on a guilt trip by the wingnuts:

We are capable of Hadithas and My Lais, so is everyone. But few societies are capable of acknowledging what happened, bringing the killers to justice, and instituting changes that make it less likely to happen again. That's how we show we are different from the jihadists. We don't just assert it. We prove it. That's the liberal version of American exceptionalism, and it's what we need right now in response to this horror.

The right just doesn't get it.

Liberal Media My Butt!

Here's another example of the right wing bias of our MSM drive by media.

If someone else had done what Fox News star Bill OReilly did the other day malign American troops who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and at Iwo Jima it's hard to imagine how ugly the Fox News reaction would be.
Think of how vicious the attacks from Fox News and right-wing commentators were on Sen. Dick Durbin for citing FBI criticism of detainee abuse at Guantanamo, or the smears against Dan Rather and other journalists who helped expose the scandal at Abu Ghraib, or the ugly campaign to boycott the Dixie Chicks for criticizing George W. Bush.
If one of those usual liberal suspects had said something one-tenth as offensive as O'Reillys remarks, Fox News surely would have offered up one of its loaded questions, like Is (fill in the blank) Anti-American or Just Blinded by Hatred of Our Troops?
But it's hard to imagine any comments as outrageous as O'Reillys loose talk about war crimes supposedly committed by U.S. Army forces fighting in Belgium and by U.S. Marines in the bloody battle at Iwo Jima.

How rarely do we hear criticism of the right in the media..even if they're wrong? Bush and the right have gotten a free pass since Sept. 11th. It is only now very slowly changing. It's about time.

Here's video of the factually challenged O Liely.
