The rest of the world talks about America.

The evil science world continues unabated.

Speaking of science...Lets Do It!

A must have for all good liberals.

See how much it will cost you to take that trip.

The Miers nomination was a less-direct-confrontation-of-your-enemies approach. Nominate someone who appears more "moderate", even if on the important issues, i.e. big business, they are not, and who actually is under-qualified and will probably not end up with the nomination. And even if they do then you still have them on your side on the important issues, see above. Then when the nomination goes down, nominate someone in-line with the base supporters, i.e. social conservatives, and who is also what you want on the really important issues, i.e. big business. So, is the Bush Administration now back to more direct action against their enemies? Or, is this another indirect, less confrontational action against their enemies? Time (or timing or times) will tell. Afterall, who are their "enemies"? An enemy can be controlled by seeming support as well as direct attack. The leaders of some of their support groups are not loyal to the members of their groups but to the Administration. Remember, they are Machiavellian.

Info on Alito cases
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_A._Alito,_Jr.
He doesn't seem too bad if you go by this, but he would be in trouble with anti-gun people and the Planned Parenthood folks.
However, some of our Dem. Representatives, incl. Harry Reid, don't like him at all and the REAL President (my idol-Kerry) and Vice-President (Edwards) think he's too conservative (accd. to Move On.Org)
I was going to go with learning more, but if JK says no, then the guy probably is bad news.
FYI Barbara Boxer is going to be on Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" tonight.
