In regard to the link about the Moderation party, The Donkey has read many political platforms. They are not many diffences. What is different is how the people in the Party act and what they do. The Donkey is a Democrat for several reasons. The Donkey is not a leftist or a liberal. The Donkey has friends that are leftist or liberal. While the Donkey is peaceful, the Donkey is not a pacifist. Militant is a label one could pin on the Donkey.
