This is really the only option that can work with many groups...most people are just following the message the leaders are sending.
Why wouldn't Muslim leaders speak out against terrorism?
The only reason would be because they support it.
Now if Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would shut up and let someone like Bill Cosby preach about personal responsibility that would solve many more problems
Many Muslim scholars have already publicly condemned terrorism, often citing chapter 5, verse 32 of the Quran, which states that killing an innocent human being is like killing all of humanity, and saving the life of one person is like saving all of humanity," Bush said as he hosted a dinner marking the end of the daily fast during Ramadan.
"I appreciate those of you here who have joined these scholars in rejecting violent extremists.
This is what the President said in this story. Muslim leaders are speaking out. The f*ucked up media needs to put it on TV or most people don't know it happened. I appreciate many things that JJ and AS say. Some I don't. I very much like Bill Cosby and his ideas of personal responsibility. The Iraqis could use a little right now.
To the lame game; Generally, there is nothing wrong with having nothing worthwhile to say - unless you insist on saying it. Reading your post makes blindness a wonderful thing to look forward to. To quote Thomas Brackett Reed: "They never open their mouths without subtracting from the sum of human knowledge."
Since the lame game is not reading this what is the worst that can happen.
If Bush was more truthful and cared about people story would read more like this:
President Bush said Monday that all responsible Christian leaders should denounce violent extremism because terrorists follow an ideology that exploits Christianity.
Many Christian scholars have already publicly condemned terrorism, often citing the Bible, which states that people should love one another and peacemakers are blessed.
"I appreciate those of you here who have joined these scholars in rejecting violent extremists. And I believe the time has come for all responsible Christian leaders to denounce an ideology that exploits Christianity for political ends and defiles your noble faith," was said.
We share a conviction that the United States must be free of religious discrimination and that the world must be safer and more peaceful. He said he was grateful to the Christian leaders that have helped in the war on terrorism.
"The killers who take the lives of innocent men, women and children are followers of a violent ideology very different from the religion of Chritianity" was said. "These extremists distort the idea of crusade into a call for terrorist murder against anyone who does not share their radical vision, including Christians from other traditions, who they regard as heretics. Their strategy will fail."
Bush has hosted in the State Dining Room. Attendees included ambassadors from Christian nations, administration officials and Christian leaders in the United States.
Game, We keep telling you that the media isn't Liberal. It's owned by rich conservatives who want those darn tax breaks. The reporters and their editors/station managers might be Liberal, but what good does that do when the bigwigs tell them what they can and can not report? PBS, NPR, Air America, Democracy Now, etc. that are not owned by fat cat Republicans are willing to report the truth but how can you and your friends see/hear the truth when you're all too busy watching FOX Cartoon News?

Ah, quite perceptive Donkey...I agree with that too.
Why won't the media put it on TV if it is really happening?
Bush is not the only one to use christianity for his purpose.
An interesting picture.
Food for thought
You tell me game. I wonder that about a lot of stuff. The President said many are speaking out. Do you believe him?
