Coffee Table

Talk about what you want. I am working on some new ideas for the blog, hopefully to happen soon.

FYI-Breaking news is that Britney lost custody of the kids to K-Fed. If You'd asked me a year ago whether he would get the kids I never would've believed it or supported it. She is way out of control, tho. And what was she thinking to wear a bikini with fishnet stockings and knee high boots on the MTV Awards?!!! Kevin may or may not be a gold digger, but Britney is pure trailor trash, as far as I can see.
Yahoo message boards on article are about 50/50 and why is anyone feeling sorry for Britney? They ought to be feeling sorry for Sean and Jayden-right? The poor kids need some stability in their lives and it looks like their dad is more capable of providing it than their mother. Britney needs to get off the booze, drugs, and the cigarettes and get her act together!

Nobel win 'would boost hopes of Gore candidacy'
By Leonard Doyle in Washington
Published: 10 October 2007

The next few weeks are considered crucial for a Gore candidacy. A petition drive for New York State must gather 5,000 signatures between the end of October and early December if he is to be legally entitled to be on the ballot. In Michigan, Gore supporters must get more than 12,000 signatures, and a signed statement by Mr Gore himself to get on next year's primary ballot. His backers are hopeful, however, looking to a recent local TV poll that had 36 per cent of Democratic voters backing him, beating Mrs Clinton with 32 per cent.

But even those who expect him to get the Nobel Prize are unsure they can persuade Mr Gore to run. "I know it's still a real long shot that he'll run," said Fred Koed, of the Massachusetts Draft Gore group. "If I were in his shoes, after the devastating and painful loss in 2000, I'd really have to search inside myself to see if it was all worth doing again. He'll have to determine if this is right for him."

I'll vote for him, even tho I'm for Biden right now. Better Al than Hill and we know he could win cuz he's done it before and then maybe just maybe our president will actually do something about global warming besides make phony promises like Duhbya does

Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize (even if he is sharing it with scientists working on the global warming issue). Yeah!!
Unless, Bush awards a prize to himself or one of his idjit unethical buddies gives him one, the only one he will win is the booby prize (cuz he's a prize booby?)

yep and the right is gearing up their negativity and smear machine again..surprise, surprise. I think they have reached the point of no return with all their smears with this one. This is the one I think will reveal them as whiny little cult members that will believe and do anything for any purpose their political and spiritual(rush) leaders say.

Haven't gotten a chance to check out Friday's edition* of RDR yet at the library, but looked at Sunday's edition and not only did I not find an article on Gore winning the Peace Prize on the front page, but did not find it anywhere. May have to check again. This is beyond disgusting that a former VP winning a Nobel Prize (maybe cuz he's a Dem, maybe cuz it's for global warming awareness, probably both) is not considered newsworthy in Rozhell/Bu$h Country.

* announcement was likely made after Frid. RDR issue went to press

RDR did not publish an article about Gore's Prize on Friday, Sunday, or Monday. How partisan can you get?
