Random Thoughts

I've been on vacation and then once back, catching up from being on vacation!
It was really bizarre that I traveled through good portions of 6 states in short order(about a 24 hr day) and at 90% of the gas stations, no matter what the state, gas was the same price. It was 2.89 everywhere. These are states with differing taxes on fuel and certainly different distributors all pricing like it was all the same. Maybe it is. Coming home it was somewhat more varied but still about 70% the same.
I went to the labor day rally in Des Moines. It was interesting because these Democrats had a U.S. Flag displayed prominently. They started their meeting with the national anthem and some even put their hands over their hearts. Such strange behavior from people that many are calling traitors or America haters.
Speaking of that. I noticed that there were counter protesters at the DC demonstration this weekend. Again they proved that their war is primarily with the 'American liberal'. Everything else is just a ruse to get back to that. One sign the prominently displayed included (I don't remember the exact wording) the word traitors or treason in large bold print.
How dare they continue to spew such horseshit! Now if we were violating the Constitution like Bushco then I could understand it. Their premise is our position aids the enemy. Unfortunately for them the policy that they have and continue to support is without a doubt adding to the numbers of terrorists and terrorist acts at an amazing rate. These people are not interested in looking at the facts though. If the 'American liberal' likes it, they MUST hate it. These people are undoubtedly the ones dividing America. They call us traitors. That is a serious charge with serious penalties. It is more evidence to prove that it's not paranoia to say that these people are out to get us. What do they expect us to do, lay down and take it??? Sorry guys, our open minded ways end when we are directly threatened like that. Call me a socialist if you must, call me a communist if you get your jollys that way, call me most anything and we can debate it. Call me a traitor and an aider of the enemy and it is time to fight back..hard. There is no way I am going to let that meme enter the American conscious without a serious fight. Screw those boneheads. I am ready to be divided. Either those guys are seen by Americans as the morons they are or I am ready to leave. No, I don't love the country they are turning it into. They can have it because it will be worthless with them in control anyway. Just give me a visa and a job and I will gladly leave. I refuse to tolerate their assholiness. I could care less about anything they have to say anymore. They have been almost universally wrong on everything and continue to spew the same crap anyway. There is nothing new, just complete and total hate for their fellow citizens who refuse to play their game. I gave them years to make their point and have come to the conclusion that they have none except to oppose liberals. They have no core. The only goal is to smear, intimitate, bully and guilt trip anyone who doesn't agree with them. Bite Me! I am not intimidated nor do I feel any guilt whatsoever about my position on the issues. As a matter of fact I am quite proud of my positions. They are based on logical thought and not emotional appeals to guilt and fear. That makes me smarter than they are by quite a distance. They are freekin robotic rush bin limbaugh tape recorders just repeating what someone else tells them without any independent investigation that would go outside of their own comfort level of neocon smear.
General Betrayus? Not a good way to approach it. They could have made their point in a number of ways that would not have been this offensive. For the radical right to jump with phony rage at this though is laughable. These are the same people that have smeared the military service of anyone they ran against who had served. As a matter of fact they spent the entire last presidental election diminishing war medals and their signifigance. They even wore purple bandaids at their convention. Oh but watch them..”this is different”. No it's not. Bite Me. The radical right is the scum that makes the United States smell to the entire world.

Them's fightin' words, Ron! You're starting to sound a lot like Keith Olbermann has lately with his comments on "Countdown". They have been fantastic, esp. the one after Bush's photo opportunity in Iraq where he said that some of the troops would be coming home. 'Course MANY of the troops will be coming home because their tours of duty are up. Unfortunately, many, also, will be coming home missing limbs or otherwise wounded in body and/or spirit, or worse yet in body bags. I doubt any of them will be related to Diablo or to Cheney. Bill O is whining that the newspapers, etc. are lying about Keith beating him in the news program ratings for the best demographic. (age 24-50?)

I had already heard "General Betrayus" before Moveon did it. Let's face it, the guy is a wuss who doesn't want to get fired for telling the truth that Dick Cheney doesn't want to be told about Iraq, like everyone who has. That General Fallan(?) is more to be believed than Patreus is.

If Bill o is saying that Keith didn't beat him in the 25-54 for a couple of nights he is lying again. I saw the ratings myself. You can follow the ratings at
http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/ratings/

No he doesn't usually beat him but yes it did happen. That is a fact that is in writing.

The New Mexico Legislative Health and Human Services Committee met to discuss healthcare issues at NMMI in Roswell on Tuesday and Wednesday. Among the attendees according to the RDR was local Rep Candy Ezzell who although not on the Committee attended because it was held in Roswell. Many options were discussed but according to Ezzell what works in Taos, Santa Fe or Albuquerque may not work in SENM. She is quoted, "I cannot see (universal health care) benefiting any of my constituents because what it is going to do is raise taxes". So typical of the SENM reps. But what to expect of an area that elects such reps. SENM: uneducated and dumbed-down on So Many things. Nevermind, that Most people would actually pay less even with increased taxes because they would be paying even less in premiums, copays and such to America's bankrupt pre-existing condition, heavily bureaucratic Sicko healthcare insurance system. Global Corporatism and the slavery and poverty that go with it are built largely with non-Global Corporatists hands.

I would love to see Gov. Richardson actually support universal healthcare for New Mexico but he isn't. He has stated that the insurance companies must be included in the solution. So much for "free market" business. Of course, Big Bizz never has been.

Hopefully, we'll get enough policies through Santa Fe to drive these NMINOs (New Mexicans in Name Only) like Ezzell, Foley, Espinoza, et al and their supporters out of New Mexico and into a Big Biz, Religious Right homeland like Texas where they belong.

The local Republics are going hyper over the RDRs policy of being more balanced on the editorial page and news content. They have had it their way for so long they can't tolerate real media fairness. As proof the Chaves County Repblics newsletter for this month says it all. I say republics because they say democrats party.

I am with you Ron. This has been nothing but a power grab by amoral power freaks and their assorted hangers-on and numb-numb true believers. We did not want their many wars, it was forced on us.

I guess, Bill O who lies better than anything else from what I understand, insists that Keith has never beaten him in the ratings. Personally, I can't understand why anyone is still watching False News. "Countdown" should be getting fantastic ratings seeing as it's one of the few shows that actually tell viewers the TRUTH. I do have to admit that there was way too much on OJ last night. God save us all from another OJ frenzy for the next year or so.
Heard Bush's approval rating is 29% (ZOGBY) and Congress' is 11%-not good. Lots of people mad because we can't get our guys out of Iraq and that includes Dems at the Dems. Don't they teach Civics in school anymore and have those who had it forgotten everything? It's because of the partisanship of the dam* GOP and Joseph Leaveourmen in Iraq Indefinitely whose religion, it turns out, is influencing his votes cuz he's gotta get the Arabs to prove he's Pro-Israel. Theres' gotta be a way to get the message out that we can't do it with a slim majority in the Senate. Not when there has to a 2/3 majority to override Bush's vetoes. MoveOn.Org, Code Pink, and some other left wing PACs are really attacking Dems on this when they should know better. The last thing they need to do is to alienate Dem voters when we don't have a 3rd Party candidate who can win. If they don't shut up already they will cause another wretched Republican to get in and we'll have 4 years of the same old thing, altho it's hard to believe it could be as bad under anyone as it's been under the DickBush regime.

I don't get this. I've tried to add a n update to something you posted quite a while back, and it seems that hyperlinking isn't working, either that or I'm doing something wrong.

At any rate, this is the only way to let you know. See some awesome pics here Ron, at Life at the South Pole:

Updated yesterday.

And take care.

Anyone who missed Keith Olbermann's special commentary on "Countdown" last night should go to the "Countdown site (MS-NBC) and read it cuz he really kicked Bush's butt. :-) And Ron, if you aren't watching his show, you should be. If nothing else, you'll love seeing how often Bill O is the worst person in the world. Last night he made BOTH worser and worst.
Speaking of The South Pole, did any of you see the band in Antartica on the Live Earth concert? It is winter in the Southern hemisphere when it is summer here and they were in lightweight jackets and playing outdoors. And yet Bushco and its supporters pooh pooh global warming. >:(

I watch countdown and Jon Stewart every night. LOVED the commentary. We all need to be taking the radical right to the woodshed. The time for playing nice is over.

Interesting Candy Ezell only cares about a few people. It is all about ME with the radical right. It's about WE for real americans.

What I hear is that
Candy has said is that the people in Chaves CO do not want universal health care because they do not want their taxes to go up. She must mean the people who have more than enough money to pay for their own heath care or those are listening to the wackos who keep screaming that universal health care is socialism. Anyone smart enough to see the truth will realize that whatever extra would be paid in taxes would be more than compensated for by lower health care costs or having health care period.
Re: that #$&$#$ hypocrite Bush who calls himself a Christian and his statement that Democrats deliberately made sure the children's health care bill would not get passed by asking for the outrageous amount of $35 mil. a year. I read on the Think Progress (an Iraq War timeline) site that we were spending $8.5 Billion a MONTH on the war in Iraq as of Jan. 2007. I hear that it's $10 Bil. now. So, Bush is OK about spending $120 Bil. a year on a war which is more than 3000 times as much as the Democrats are asking for this kid's health care program which I guess, is maybe for kids whose parents make a little too much to qualify for Medicaid and he is blaming the Democrats? What are Bush's priorities that it's more important to spend money on a war we should never have engaged in in the first place and which we should extricate ourselves from within the next year, than it is to make sure that sick children see a doctor or get glasses, dental care, etc.? Yet, it's gotta be the other Party's fault cuz Bush belongs to the Party which never takes responsiblity for anything. Sickening isn't it?

If you didn't see the season premiere of "Family Guy" which was a parody of "Star Wars", try to catch it in the reruns next summer. Really funny. Loved it that Darth Vader's ship had a Bush/Cheney sticker on it. The FG writers definitely do not like BushCo while I have read that the "South Park" (yuk) creators are *&^%$# Republicans.
