Reading Room

Bad timing because of the hurricane left the voice of the American people without a voice. Here it is.

Where are our leaders? When will someone in the Democratic party stand up?

Looks like they need a uniter and not a divider.

Only 90 to 96% of the fighters are Iraqis. Maybe we need to go find the terrorists if this is a war on terror.

The real question is how would we expect our troops to be treated and is the enemy going to be willing to surrender or are they going to think that it is preferable to fight to the death.

I TOLD you they wanted to put the military in charge. Allow this and it's just the tip of the iceberg. Just say NO!!!

In my neverending quest to move America from the old technology(fossil fuels) to something new and better, and my love of cool automotive technology I present the truly inventive Americans doing this.

If you have it feel lucky. Love really does triumph over all.

Every patient counts so they do not need to sue for malpractice. Or is it they are free to sue but will not get any money for pain, suffering, inconvenience, emotional distress, loss of companionship or consortium, and loss of enjoyment of life.

"As a result, patients lose access to affordable health care"

Damn you can tell this was written by a rich person. Notice the present tense. Most people lost AFFORDABLE health care a decade or more ago.

Well then, isn't it time to do something about it?

You would think so huh? Unfortunately whenever you proposes that everyone pay in and everyone have a benefit they just blow you off by calling it socialism. I'm not sure what their position is but the status quo.

Dedanna,
Are you saying that if a doctor causes you pain, suffering, inconvenience, emotional distress, loss of companionship or consortium, and loss of enjoyment of life she should not have to pay you any money?

If you will notice, I said that it's time to do something about not being able to get AFFORDABLE health care...

Dedanna,

Look, I put the link up for interest, not for any other reason.

I myself am saying that awards aren't necessary.

I have seen in my life however, a lot of people who take advantage of it, and use malpractice suits for frivolous reasons. I'm not saying this is the majority, nor am I saying that this is the reason we don't have affordable health care.

If I had my way, we'd have socialized medicine. All those billions that went into the Iraq war should cover it, and more, from what I understand, it only takes a few pennies out of our taxes per person, and that's enough to cover it.

Dedanna,

The Donkey agrees health care reform is what is needed. More government money is spent killing people in Iraq than health care.

The web site you linked is a front for a group that wants to stop paying any thing for pain and suffering or punative damages.

Look who is behind the push to stop payment on these rewards.

The Donkey thinks health care is to be considered promoting the general welfare. Taking care of USA citizens is the intent on our constitution.
