Fixing The Election

Well, I have been watching this for a while and I have figured out what is going on with this Attorneys scandal. It's all about fixing the election. I know this has been speculation by some for a while now. I have waited until I am reasonably confident what is going on.
Here is a little of how it works from Greg Palast who happens to have some actual Karl Rove emails.

Here’s how caging works: letters were sent “Do Not Forward” to voters at home addresses. When the letters were returned to sender (”caged”), the voter’s right to vote was challenged. The letters, however, were targeted at African-American homeless men, students — and soldiers send overseas — all legal voters who, because they were shipped to Iraq or for other reasons, were not at their home address. BBC obtained 50 ‘caging’ lists with 70,000 voters including large groups of servicemen.

There is far more of which I don't have time for right now. Briefly though, guess who headed up this operation? Tim Griffin of the new attorney in Arkansas. Isn't it also interesting that Karls good buddy is in a "Hillary" state? Think of the implications of that for a minute.
When you run the show with the people that investigate voter irregularities and are a partisan crook....America and Democracy could be cooked.
I notice nobody has said much about this but I think this is the big story right now. I especially think so because the right(this is why I go there) is so adamant to claim this is a non story and how the liberals are so silly to even mention it. They are doing their best to avoid it like the plague. They don't want to talk about it. Watch this story. I will try to print more when I get the time.

Update: fixed the link. Republican response? .....you know, all together now, LIBERAL MEDIA!

Speaking of Greg Palast, you ought to read his "Armed Madhouse" which goes into detail about the stolen elections of 2000 and 2004.
Every time I hear the words "President Bush" I just about gag. He's not MY president! Question is whether the REAL president is Gore or Kerry. Do you think Obama has a chance or that the issue of his race is going to cancel him out because of the prejudice of Americans who will not vote for a minority candidate or for a woman?
Not Sen. Clinton, though, who waited way too long to get off her Hillary duff and oppose Cheney's rotten oil war. Hillary is way too politically savvy for me. She'll say and do whatever is most expedient for her to win. I'll only vote for HER if she wins the primary and then I won't be happy about it

You are SO right, Ron. This story must be proliferated throughout the nation. I think the "Republics" have realized that people are onto the Deibold scam and have to figure out another way to steal the elections.

Libby, ZI too would have a problem voting for Clinton. If it comes down to her or a Republican I would have no choice because I have seen them all(including Thompson) and there is little difference in their policies even if one or the other may be a bit more ethical(which ain't saying much) that the bush bots. I think 95% the people that wouldn't vote for Obama because of his race wouldn't vote for a democrat in any circumstance. It may cause a few more of them to come out and vote though? I'm guessing here.
Jim, how we spread the word I am not sure but it is far more than just caging. Interesting Roves best buddy is assigned Arkansas, former home of Clinton. Interesting the new ones are largely in swing states. Interesting that Carol Lam, hot on the trail with one in jail and several indicted is taken off the job. Rove is a political crook of the highest order and cares little about democracy or the constitution. I've decided there is no getting through to the remaining bushbot(you know of some) but the GP would be astounded!

Diebold is a big part of it, but not all. We still have the problem of inadequate numbers of voting machines in areas with large minority populations that are usually Democratic (while next door in affluent GOP precincts there are machines to spare-hiss). Also, the voting machines are more likely to be old and to malfunction (think hanging and dangling and dimpled chads). Plus, the minority voters are more likely to find that their names are not on the lists and are more likely to be asked for ID, sometimes more than one form of ID. It is hard enough to get poor people to come out and vote, but if they see time and time again that they will be disenfranchised and their votes won't be counted why will they bother? Of course, that is part of the GOP's master plan. That is unless Cheney manages to suspend elections indefinitely which I wouldn't put past him. It's not bad enough that the GOP and Bush with his vetoes keep everything that Cheney disagrees with from going through. The GOP is effectively controlling the country even without a majority since the Dems still don't have the power to pass anything Cheney doesn't want and we have NO checks and balances. Since Cheney controls the GOP he controls everything and he is EVIL! The revolution may have to come sooner than we thought-right?
