Coffee Table

I am getting more up to speed everyday at work and in my new home. Hopefully I am getting closer to the time I can put more into the blog again. This blog started as an adjunct or continuation of the talk show on the radio. Now that it is no more I have a question for you. What do you find interesting? What kind of stuff would you like to read? Would you like news and comment. A gathering of opinion and thought from various blogs? Straight commentary? Let me know so I can make this more useful for the readers and group we have here(if any of you are left:-).
In the meantime talk about what you wish. Let me know what YOU are finding.

it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.

Ron, do your news and analysis from sources you find useful.

Possible November Surprise: MSNBC reported today on their website that the trial decision for Saddam will be on the Sunday Before the Election. A guilty verdict may serve to bolster Bush Admin at the election or point to their failures there. Either way, someone who would decide their vote on the outcome of the trial is not a good reflection on democracy.

The bottom line is still the power of Global Corporatism. Interesting to see what the Democrats (DLC?) will do with however much power they get (or don't) in '06 and '08.

Have you heard anything about Bloomberg going after the Democratic nomination?

Ya, Bush can control the world oil market too...
For being so stupid and such a failure, you liberals give him credit for a lot of things...

Well Ron, I'm kind of getting sick and tired of politics. Everywhere I look it isn't good news all 'round. My posts at political blogs have dropped drastically, 'cause I'm just tired of it & there's better things to do anyway.

I don't mind your posts on it, but can we get a break once in a while please?

Let's have something funny-as-hell once in a while, eh? Lighten things up a bit. Not to the shallow point tho. I don't do dry humor. :-p~~~~~~~~~

Oh, btw, Bush's Petro-Cartel Almost Has Iraq's Oil.

OIC that's why the prices were going down. So they can gear up to way way over-inflate them. :-p

Wait, thought we weren't supposed to touch the oil?

Bush on his own has been a failure in nearly every endeavor he has undertaken. But Bush as the "leader" of the most powerful nation on earth can and is doing unimaginable and far reaching damage. Karl Rove puts the words in his mouth and makes the decisions. Bush mouths them for the public. The Republican congress backs whatever the administration comes up with, and the non-thinking sheep who follow Bush are just fine with whatever that is. Whereas if Clinton had done the exact same thing they would be totally up in arms.

According to an article I just read, the Eisenhower strike group will be in the Strait of Hormuz this weekend. IF we attack Iran, the repercussions against this country will be very serious.

Eisenhower must be spinning in his grave if he knows that the ship name d for him is set to attack Iran. He didn't think even the Korean War was necessary. I just read "At Ease" by him in which he said so.

Thanks for your comments friends. I love the idea that we can share thoughts with each other and you are all insightful and add much to my perspective. Dedanna, I know what you are saying. It seems all so obvious what the truth is now. I think one thing that may bum you is spending a lot of time debating people who could care less what you say. You know what I am talking about. I just don't care to do it much anymore. I want to go forward, with or without them. Larry: I'm not sure about this and don't have time right now to dig into it but I think Bloomberg may have been a Dem before and switched to Repub. so he could run more easily somehow for Mayor.
Lonna, I have read the same thing about the Eisenhower and speculation of what that may bode. Lord help us through the age of warmongers and fearmongers.
Game: Bush can't control the world oil markets but if he has a good relationship with the movers and shakers he can have a whale of an influence on it. Also his actions can cause people to fear and drive the price up or feel confident and drive the price down.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean, which is why my posts have come down drastically.

And yes, it burns me. BUT, I'm seeing the same thing in a very real way on both sides of the coin, which is why I'm tired of it all in general. Burned out, whatever you want to call it. I guess I'm sick of everyone's rhetoric, and want to take some restful time to make up my own mind.

Take care.

This is interesting. According to the Boston Globe:

when Bill Clinton was president, the House took 140 hours of sworn testimony into whether Mr. Clinton had used the White House Christmas list to identify possible Democratic donors. But in 2004 and 2005, a House committee took only 12 hours of testimony on the abuses at Abu Ghraib.

info from Paul Krugman's column.

Jim Hightower will be in Albert Lea Saturday night. Alas, I think I will be gone by then. Hope Joe will take my "book truck" there. This is a link to my latest article in which
I talk about the Canadian who was reading my book truck in Pratt, Kansas. Lot of Republican quotations.

Hey, brudda.

Drove through Alamo last monday (about 6:30AM) and couldn't find you on air.

Does (Phil?)Runnels still work there? I'm still selling air. Hope you enjoy Alamo. At least you're not 190 miles from everywhere, as in Roswell.

Looking forward to Rovember elections? :-)

Dedanna, try this:

Dedanna, I once knew how to hyperlink, and will figure it out again, but i have been away from the computer too long. have forgotten, and with the move, no time. PLEASE everyone, go to truth dig and read kevin tillman's letter. Copy it. Print it out. Share it with everyone. Especially with sports fans. It is SO intense!!
Pat and Kevin joined the army rangers. Pat was killed by friendly fire, which the Pentagon lied about, just as they did Jessica Lynch. Kevin calls this administration a lot of names. None of them good!!

Dedanna, I pasted that address ending in htm, and it worked for me.

NOW I am going to go get the address for the tillman article. It is in truth dig.

Went and saw Hightower tonight. He was in Minnesota stumping for the candidate in District one. Should have been a "safe" seat, but the guy voted with Bush 93% of the time, and now it is tight. BUT the national Republicans just gave the 6 term incumbent $250,000. So Jim Hightower was there. Laura Bush is coming for the Republican candidate.

Will be right back with the Tillman link.

Lonna,

See Creating A Hypertext Link here. It's quick, easy, and in very plain language.

I have very busy phones at work this morning so haven't had time to check out the links, but I will.

Take care.

Lonna, the problem is, is the url is too long to be able to copy and paste to go to. When I copy & paste it, I only get a portion of the url "there". However, I was able to direct to the first portion of the url,
http://www.opednews.com/articles/, and scroll from there to the date you were referring to. I'm hoping this is the article you were referring to. I'll be able to read sporatically throughout the day.

TTYL.

Hey Ron! I've got a cool idea! Do a "Link for all" thread once in a while, where we can share some ott links, stuff we find funny or cool, whatever!

Would that work?
