The Toll Of History

I was reading this story about the pResidents' poll numbers and reading the comments wondering how to beat the cheaters. An interesting exchange.

If Kerry had won, would there be any question as to the accuracy of the voting machines?

Hmmmm???

Puh-leeze. Grow up and get ready for 2008!

See you on the high ground.

And quite appropriate, I thought, response:

History will indeed be the judge, MajorDad1984, and it will certainly not include Bush's cure for cancer, his elimination of WMD's, or his lasting peace in the middle east.
You are on the losing side of history, pal. People supporting this administration now will be like supporters of McCarthy and Roy Cohn. But I suppose you view them as patriots, too.

See you in Poli-Sci class, punk.

More on The Toll of History:

snip:

The Bush Era is over. The sooner politicians in both parties realize that, the better for them -- and the country.

Recent months, and especially the past two weeks, have brought home to a steadily growing majority of Americans the truth that President Bush's government doesn't work. His policies are failing, his approach to leadership is detached and self-indulgent, his way of politics has produced a divided, angry and dysfunctional public square. We dare not go on like this.

Was listening to the show today and heard Ron's comments about the rightwing media's and The Game's assertions that the Democratic Party will be destroyed by the likes of howard Dean, Hillary Clinton, and my idol, John Kerry. Puhleeze!! We need Dean to speak out, Hillary's OK, and anyone who can't see the difference between Kerry who is a class act and Bush is a total idjit in my opinion!
