Another Golden Oldie

Karl Rove. Smart guy but he needs some new ideas. These deals are getting quite predictable. Create your cartoon liberal, demonize...rinse and repeat. Anyone who disagrees is of questionable repute or somebody "out to get them". Quite paranoid for the leader of the free world wouldn't ya think? Ever heard of talking points? Ever see them? Here they are. This is the x-ray of their cartoon liberal.

Just miles of great comments on the blogs today. Good for point well made at DNC. Please note the former attacks people and groups. The latter attacks policy. Yes, I know it's a thin line but it's also distinguishable.
What happened to after 9/11 all Americans came together? Revisionist history? I recall George Bush having 95% support after 9/11 and unanimous votes in congress to go get Osama in Afganistan. This is the way they connect Iraq and 9/11 without actually saying they are. If you want to believe that Republicans are John Wayne and Democrats are Richard Simmons go right ahead. If you want to believe that half or more of this country wants to get our troops killed then go right ahead. Just don't try to convince me of your "reality-based' thinking.

The DemoCat thinks that "The Duke" would disown the GOP if he was still around, but, yeah, I agree about the macho image Bush has when he's not busy being "Howdy Doody" while Dick Cheney puts words in his mouth.
The Democrats, Greens, Independents, etc. appreciate intelligence. I, myself, would rather have a Gregory Peck type (think Atticus Finch from "To Kill a Mockingbird") and that's a heck of a lot more like John Kerry than George W. Bush. 'Course Gregory Peck was a Liberal intellectual who opposed the Vietnam War and ended up on Nixon's enemies list along with Bill Cosby, Dr. Spock, etc. If we could have movie actor Ronald Reagan as President and "The Terminator" as CA governor, why not Martin Sheen, Alan Alda, or Mike Farrell as President? I like intellectuals, myself, but, hey, I'm one of those wacky Liberals who would rather read a book than watch "Fear Factor"! I talked to a young Bush supporter prior to the election and told him all about Kerry's wonderful qualities. He agreed with me that Kerry was smarter, more articulate, more honorable, better educated, more idealistic, etc. , but said he was supporting Bush because Bush was MEAN and it took someone MEAN (macho) to defeat the terrorists. Why? All that does is to convince more people to become terrorists. America is being dumbed down to a very dangerous level in my opinion.
Re: conspiracy theories-go to the Reopen 9/11 site and check out the stuff that was in the DVD "Confronting the Evidence" (that means you too, Bob!) I don't think Dubya did this, but those PNAC guys are capable of anything and there had to have been a cover-up, at least. Besides, I thought before that it was just too convenient that Bush's popularity was bottoming out and along comes this terrorist attack which bounces him up into high numbers again. He never would've gotten his mandate to do the domestic things he's done much less invade Iraq if it wasn't for 9/11. All I can say is that if PNAC/the Saudis weren't responsible, Al Qaeda is unbelievably stupid. If they hate Bush so much why did they want to help him? Because that's what they did.

The squelching of public debate not agreeing with the popular agenda via slander, libel, threats, theft, destruction, historical revisionism and social humiliation. Journalists in particular are terrorized if they attempt to publish stories contrary to the agenda.
