I think terrorism is like a metastisized cancer. I'm not against rooting out terrorists, capturing them, and punishing them, but if we break al Queda, how many other groups will there be? I don't like Bush's oil war, so supposedly I'm against the troops and for terrorists. That's crazy talk. I hate terrorism whether it's the Islamics, Irish, Palestinians, etc. These people only care about their ideologies and nothing for individual human lives. Terrorism is evil, but so is most war which is why it should be a last resort. Engaging in war, bombing civilians, exploiting 3rd World nations, etc. only makes those people more desperate and more likely to embrace terrorism. They need help, education, health care, etc. This is the way to spread democracy.
Personally, I don't think Michael Moore is a flake. I wouldn't be surprised if there's been a plan all along for the U.S. to build a pipeline through Iraq and why not add Syria and Iran in on this, while they're at it. Afghanistan is really mountainous and there are the warlords to worry about, so why not just build it to the ocean and ship the oil over to India where they have refineries that refine oil at a fraction of what it costs in the U.S. because of cheap labor, ignoring environmental considerations, etc.? Nothing about what PNAC might have planned would surprise me. They are bad news and if the Anti-Christ is due to appear, they are paving the way for him, in my opinion.
Actually, Michael Moore, more and more... (excuse the pun) is becoming factual by the minute, rather than a conspiracy theory. Go here and order the free dvd, and watch it. It's loaded with factual information that shows, undeniably, the PNAC/neocons/etc. as the creeps they really are.
And, they challenge you to dispute their facts in the dvd.
