A Promising Development

I've been very disappointed in the Democrats spineless lack of ability to slog through the goulash that is The Republican world view game of lies, demonization, humiliation, repetition, chest thumping- mix of privileged Christianity and patriotism, and obfuscation. It should be obvious by now that they run the same campaign every time. Who's the most liberal person in the in congress or the country? Who ever is the Presidential candidate in the Democratic.....oops forgot....Democrat party. Purple band-aids mocking John Kerry(which I still think was far beyond the pale for such “patriots”) and tire gages to mock Barack Obama. John Kerry was the enemies friend so is Barack Obama. Their general themes haven't changed since Dukakis. At least McCain hasn't said we'll all die if we don't vote for him like Cheney did. That's the bottom of a very deep Republicon barrel. The Democrats just haven't seemed to have much fight in them. It makes it difficult when your only other choice..in realistic terms is the Republican. Hate what they do. Unfortunately the Democrats have done a horribly poor job or representing me.

Finally somebody in the Democratic party acted like they have a brain. Hallelujah!

John McCains ad.

The reponse from the Democrats.

It's time to give it back. There's no doubt they have the media edge in spreading their message with special thanks to uncountable hours of right wing radio. As long as they control the game, which they obviously have figured out how to do, then it's time to beat them at their own game. They have nothing to crow about except in their fantasies and self delusion.

Do you happen to know the address of any site that tells the names of the corporate sponsors of the Olympics in Beijing? Tried to find one and got too many hits to go through today. Was going to boycott the games by not watching, but decided it would be better to boycott as many of the sponsors as I can for the next 2 wk.

Thanks,

Have you seen the latest smear ads by McPain in the Neck? He is beyond disgusting! All he can do is to attack Barack and call him names because he has nothing else. The man admits he doesn't understand the economy. He doesn't understand the difference between the Sunnis, the Kurds, and the Shiites. How is he going to conduct foreign policy with a country when he knows nothing about the people who live there? I wonder if Lieberman will have to move into the Lincoln Bedroom so HE can answer the phone at 3 a.m.
As far as I have seen, Obama has been a gentleman through this whole thing. Because (unlike the neocons) Obama really is a Christian, he keeps turning the other cheek and when his supporters have crossed the line they are asked to step down. Hillary was slow to do this and as far as I can see McCain won't do it at all. Sickening!
And as for the Democrats...you can thank the corporate media for their total lack of support for anyone trying to help the PEOPLE instead of the money grubbing fascist warmongering hypocrites who are running the country into the ground! If the mainstream media would actually do its job and inform the American people public pressure would force Repubican Senators and Representatives to join the Democrats so we could get a 2/3 majority and override Bush's vetoes.

Re: Barack-No, he's not the country's savior. He doesn't claim to be. We have to save ourselves, don't we? And to do that we need to unite as a people. Bush promised to be a uniter but was instead a divider. McPain promises to follow suit. How can we fix the country's problems unless we work together? Obama is uniting many people who are willing to give him a chance (unless they are ignorant or greedy selfish conservatives, religious nuts, racists, or bitter Hillary supporters). My field coordinator sent a great quotation you will like.

"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."
-Barack Obama

The whole objective with the rightwing is to divide and conquer and so far they have done a pretty good job of it. It's past time to unite as Americans and for the good of all not the few!
