Liars

It is amazing to me to think that there are still many people out there that insist that GWB never lied to the American people. Nope he was wrong but he never lied. That is what they will tell you. Let's just look at a few things that I consider a lie.
First we have the President on eavesdropping on Americans. First(and there is video tape on all this if you are curious enough to look for it.) He says that there is no wiretapping on Americans going on outside the laws of the United States. Later, when caught red handed he admits that yes we are wiretapping Americans. He then proceeds to justify it by saying that they were monitoring people who called in or out to Al Queda....That may be a rationale but it is still a lie. Closer to the truth(or what they claim to be the truth) would be there is no warrantless wiretapping going on when the calls remain within our borders. Maybe, there is no warrant less wiretapping going on except when we think they are talking to terrorists. He first mentioned no conditions outside the law. Then when caught conditioned it. That is a lie in my book. With no oversight how do we know this is the truth. Does he have another rationale to spy inside the borders that he “forgot” to mention? Are we required to assume? Is the right will to adapt this rationale for a Democratic President? They may say yes but I can assure you the answer is no. Do a little research at Free Republic(as a matter of fact just click here) from the Clinton years. They were totally up in arms about a secret court let alone warrant less wiretapping. This was after the terrorism of OKC. Just page down and read the comments. Knowing the wingnuts as well as I do I know their response. 9/11 changed all this. How? Why? Believe it or not Clinton was warning us about Bin Laden then, the OKC and first trade center bombing had taken place. What's the diff? 9.11 changed everything? Not so much.
Using the Office of Special Plans and the White House Iraqi group or the Office Of Special Plans to find reasons for war is like using a corporate study on their own product to assess it. While this may be arguable as a lie it certainly is a twisting of the truth to fit you purposes. I find it a lie myself. They had much intelligence that said otherwise but refused to mention it. Again knowing the right as I do what they will do with this information is give you a number of quotes from Dems and others about Saddam et al. So what they are doing is criticizing them for trusting the President. Beyond this the administration basically violated the resolution of Congress. He pulled the inspectors and went to war anyway. This was not a part of the deal. If there were no weapons of mass destruction it would be hard to turn them over. He knew he was giving us “juiced” evidence. He lied. Again, beyond that while Saddam was evil and dangerous he was also contained and was not an imminent threat to us. We certainly had better things to do at the time that had even Arab support.
Sure there are tons of these but this is a start. Add the ones that gall you most if you wish.

Tell every terrorists out there to be careful, we got our eye on you? Do you have a problem with calls to and from Al Qaeda being monitored?

Maybe, there is no warrant less wiretapping going on except when we think they are talking to terrorists. He first mentioned no conditions outside the law." He wasn't outside the law. He utilized the law given to Commander and Chief during times of war. You are disingenuous when you try to mislead readers about the legality of what Bush was allowed to do under LAW. I hope to God our government will wiretap any conversations that might be occurring between people on our soil that are trying to KILL us. Do you have a problem with that?
Quote:Then when caught.... Then when EXPOSED, by people who are too ignorant to understand the necessity of keeping some government activities covert to PROTECT said same people,.. conditioned it. That is a lie in my book.
Your "book" is totally without merit or fact. With no oversight how do we know this is the truth. How do we know ANYTHING is the truth? How do you know your beloved Democrats (ie: Left wing liberals)are telling the truth? Do you rely exclusively on the mainstream media to validate your hate of the conservative, and conservatives in general?
Quote: They had much intelligence that said otherwise but refused to mention it.The contrary evidence supplied by our ENEMIES. Hmmm.. now THAT should have been considered to be verifiable information.??
Quote:Beyond this the administration basically violated the resolution of Congress. He pulled the inspectors and went to war anyway. This administration violated nothing. Bush called upon special powers given to all presidential elected offices, the same way previous presidents did. He was totally within his power as the president to do what he did. Unless you can provide evidence to the contrary? And in case you have forgotten, Bush had the approval and the votes of your buddies in Congress. Of course, now they are LYING, telling the American people they weren't given information that would have made them decide otherwise. Did I say LYING? Oh yes,the democrats who agreed to the Iraq war at that time are LYING when they tell the American people they weren't given crucial and oppositional information about the WMDs in Iraq.
Quote: "If there were no weapons of mass destruction it would be hard to turn them over. He knew he was giving us “juiced” evidence. He lied."They did find some WMDs in Iraq. Not much, but some. As far as "juicing" the evidence, I think you should join the 9/11 conspirators bunch. With your absent use of logic, you would be very happy blogging about that fairy tale.
