Thanks for using a cartoon from Tom Tomorrow's This Modern World. Its a great site.
Republicans won't even let their own votes count. It is now obvious that they spent the whole primary letting their people vote and then deciding to replace their lone gubernatorial candidate with someone the elite wanted. Also, a lot of this came from Washington and Domenici.

By the way, it will do them no good except to hurt how New Mexicans feel about the Republican party in NM.

Too much to go into here but the Sunday RDR had a story about the local Church on the Move wanting to "take back" Independence Day and scheduling their fireworks and other things to conflict with the Roswell UFO Parade and events Saturday Evening. This is the same group that several years ago wanted the School Board to ban "pagan" attire and activities and "witchcraft" from the schools.
The fire dept. will have to send some of their vehicles to the site of the churches fireworks in West Roswell, thus thining out needed personnel and equipment in what has become a very dry environment, notwithstanding last nite's 2 inch rain.

If they want to do fireworks I'm ok with that if it is self funded. You would think though that they would coordinate it so it wouldn't compete with other community activities. That would just be plain dumb.

OMG Ron! How low some will stoop -- go check game's blog, and look at his "Leaving the left" post.

He's actually using the RDR against you!

Church on the Move's deliberate conflict with the UFO Parade of Lights made the front page (top) of today's Albuquerque Journal. Once again Roswell is shown to be the joke of New Mexico.

Was it ever not?

Hell, the whole UFO thing in Roswell is a joke. The supposed UFO didn't even crash there, yet Roswell's sure as hell capitalizing on it anyway.

I will say though, that I do like Roswell a helluva lot better than where I am.

Still won't keep me from heading for Cali, tho :)

Well the UFO thing is known worldwide and to me it only makes sense to make it work for Roswell if we can. The lights parade is a fun event and brings many in the community together. Not a sin. To be known as the home of religous zealots is far less attractive to most.
