Am wondering whether there's any possibility the radio show will be put back on. I hear that FOX is somehow involved w/the station. Buying it? Doing the news? What? FOX is definitely not the Liberal media. It's not even unbiased media. I suppose the next thing is that there will be a new editor for the local paper-one even more conservative who won't print letters from Democrats and Liberals and maybe not Helen Thomas' column or "Doonesbury." Sonething needs to be done to stop the consolidation of the media in the hands of wealthy ultra-conservatives whose major objectives are their profit lines and tax cuts. One of the first things done in fascist/totalitarian countries is to supress freedom of speech/press. The only difference here is that the big media corporations are doing it instead of the government. Course it might be said that the big corporations are the ones who are really in charge of the government not the people. In the meantime watch or subscribe via email to "Democracy Now" www.democracynow.org Molly Ivins is really good, too. Her column appears on the Creator's Syndicate and her books are available at our local library.
There is a chance the radio show may come back. It's a bunch of shop talk I don't want to get into right now.I had no idea that people felt so personally about the show. I almost feel like I let you down and I certainly don't want to do that. If you know anything about Fox you know more than I do. Haven't heard anything about that. I know this isn't as much fun as the radio show but we can have a community here if we all participate.
