Heard It All Before

Ever notice how the rightists just sound like a mish mash of talking points and sound bites these days? Last night Paul Hackett showed us a sharp, confident and bold Democrat. What a ray of light after years of right wing coddling, calculating, skiddish Dems we have become use to. It also appears that Chris Matthews has decided(at least for today) his viewers want substance and not warmed over talking points. Warning to the rightists. Don't watch this unless you don't mind serious disappointment. To the rest of you, this is another download thing. I know it takes time to download but I try not to put them on here unless they are worth your time and this absolutely is. Go Here

Ron, good post! Obviously another Rove/Cheney talking-head clone. The TX-17 at present has a Democrat
representing the district in part because the Republican Candidate in '04 voted against city annexation reform when she was a member of the Texas House in '03 after being one of the leading supporters of the measure. The voters, especially in Johnson Co. where this is a hot issue, never forgot that. It was not the only reason Edwards won re-election but it was an important one.

All politics is local. Hopefully, the trend against neo-cons will keep this district Democratic in what is a leaning Republican district.

BTW Ron, glad we are still here after the passing of doomsday, August 22nd. It is such bombastic nonsense as that and constant chicken little pronouncements that dull people to Real terror concerns
,e.g. cargo on aircraft and at sea ports, about which not much is done. Of couse if the people get dulled to the point of not thinking and caring and something does happen, then the neo-cons can just blame the their opponents. Of course, they were the ones on watch for 9/11.

Other than just being Losers, the right-wing hate-mongers in the
media are going more into hyperdrive because of declining ratings. Ex.: the Fox memo about getting ratings up or else.

I ran into someone who infered that the planning for 9/11 was during Clinton so of course it was his fault. I am amazed that with all their 9/11 changed everything talk that the still want to fight this unconventional battle in a conventional way. I have been on a conservative blog lately trying to have a discussion. The above mentioned circular logic is all they can do. You get farther talking to a dog. The dog pays more attention to what you are saying and comprehends it far better.

Would that conservative's blog be our idiot's blog?

I've quit trying to tell those stupid hate-mongers anything. Let them think, say, etc. what they want; they'll be the ones to pay for it.

Unfortunately we will all pay for it if their thinking takes hold. They listen to nothing so they are a waste of time. We need to make everyone else aware of the danger they present to our country.

Yes, but they'll be the ones who look back on it and say, "This was supposed to work!!!"

And, they'll be the ones to regret that it didn't -- we'll be the ones sitting back going, "Well, hey, you guys did this. Now you clean it up."

They will be the ones held accountable. Imagine being accountable for destruction of the world, thinking you did what was best, but oh! You got fooled by sheer b.s.

This is what I mean when I say, they believe the wrong thing, they fall for the wrong thing & fail, and they get what they deserve for it.
