Coffee Table

What ever is on your mind..hopefully it's more than snark and snipe. I'll be out for a day or two.
How about KKkarl Rove?
Although it is too late a long time ago to make me a Bush supporter I actually think the pResident has made some better moves lately. What do you think?

Bush upbeat

And why shouldn't he be???

1. Even though liberals will tell you Iraq is a failure, it clearly is not. We have met every objective so far with historic speed. We have helped the people of Iraq start their own govt...they vote in record numbers, IN THE MIDDLE EAST. Why is it a failure? Because people die? Should we retreat out of American inner cities then? If you go by that standard then about 100 cities in the US should be abandoned. How about troop deaths? Does that make Iraq a failure? If so, then every single war in the history of the world is a failure. For people who care about human rights, democracy and free will, Iraq is a success. I thought that was the Left.

2. Economy great...lower unemployment rate now than the average of the 70's, 80's and 90's. I know, I know...we have the wrong kind of employment now or something....

3. Rove not guilty...DA had to interview him 5 times, came up with nothing...were are all these convictions in the culture of corruption.

4. Dem's have no official plan on anything they complain about. What is the DNC's official stance on Iraq? Is it run away now or later? What are they going to do to get gas prices down?

5. Gas prices high is bad, but that is the fault of liberal environmentalist crazies. We need to work on new technology and other ways to create energy....but why are prices so high RIGHT NOW....to much demand, not enough supply. Why is that? Liberals won't let us drill in the middle of nowhere or ANYWHERE....and we are not allowed to use nuclear power like we should...

Game, I'm glad you are happy and feel like things are going so well. Honestly I am! I like happy people.
Unfortunately the majority of the population isn't near as happy as you.

1. "Iraq is a success."
Certainly on some terms. On others I'm not so sure myself.

2. "The economy is great"
For the corporations and rich. Not at my house most assuredly.

3."Rove not guilty"
He is innocent how? Bill Clinton was not impeached...He was innocent too?

4."Dems have no plan"
Only for the uninformed. They have an alternative to all Republican plans. They never get press or brought up because the Republicans are running this wonderful show.

5. The high gas prices are the Liberals fault?
How come you always say that Liberals always say it is Bushes fault yet you continually blame the Liberals? Little bit o hypocracy there? How come the presnit hasn't started a war against oil and a national effort to move us to alternatives? A huge project that could actually unite Americans on something. That is obviously what needs to happen, not drilling. Go forward to the future my friend.

The only thing worse than your logic is your manners. The Donkey has snipped away most of your of what you wrote, because, well ... it didn't really say anything. Your attempt at constructing a creative post was pitiful. Really, stringing together a bunch of talking points among a load of babbling was hardly effective... Maybe later in life, after you have learned to read, write, spell, and count, you will have more success. True, these are rudimentary skills that many of us "normal" people take for granted that everyone has an easy time of mastering. But we sometimes forget that there are "challenged" persons in this world who find these things to be difficult. If the Donkey had known that this was true in your case then the donkey would have never have exposed itself to what you wrote. It just wouldn't have been "right." Sort of like parking in a handicap space. The Donkey wishes you the best of luck in the emotional, social and reality struggles that seem to be placing such a demand on you.

how can you not say it is success?
is it perfect...nope, and if that is the liberals standard, we will lose every war until china takes us over

All economic indicators say economy is running well, nothing to complain about...your own person situation is not applicable to the entire country economy.

Clinton lied under oath, no debate, its a fact, get over it.

What is the Dem's plan in Iraq. If you go to my blog you will see quotes from Dem's TODAY...their plan is to run away and lose...I don't like that plan.

We can get any alternative fuel possible, and we still need to drill NOW cause I'm sick of paying three dollars a gallon for gas...and if we did go to war for oil like many say so stupidly here...where are the benefits???
If the sheeple liberals here really believe that we went to war for oil...I guess I should be pissed that gas is not a dollar a gallon

Kudos to The Donkey for his last post. Hope Dedanna will also have some words of wisdom for The Game who is sadly lacking in the latter area.
To The Game:
Re: the war
As we speak, over 2,500 of our U.S. troops, many of them National Guardsmen and women, have died in Iraq. Over 13,000 are wounded, many of them severely. Over 100,000 Iraqi civilians have died. We are NOT winning this war. It has escalated into a bloody civil and religious war. The Sunnis and the Shi'ites do not want to share power and the Kurds want their own autonomous region. We have spent billions of dollars and run up a record deficit and there is no end in sight. On top of it all, we were LIED into this war. How you can see this as something positive is beyond us.
Re: the economy
The economy is not great for the middle and working classes, and the poor. The unemployment statistics quoted by the corporate media do not reflect those who have run out of benefits, who have dropped out of the system, or who are underemployed. The economy is great, though, for the wealthy corporations that outsource American jobs and hide their money in off shore accounts in order to avoid paying taxes.
Re: Rove
That Ameri-fascist propagandist is probably guilty of more crimes than we'll ever know about.
Re: Democrats having a plan
How would YOU know? Do you get PAC emails from Democratic and Liberal groups? Do you check out the official website for the DNC?Somehow, I doubt it. The corporate media won't report anything GOOD about the Democrats, including any plans they have. (The best plan may be to sit by and watch the GOP hang itself because it's doing a great job so far!)
Re: energy
Much of the problem with the energy crisis is the almost total reliance on fossil fuels. The reason for this is largely due to the greed of oil and gas companies that have stalled research into alternative energy sources that would be cheap, clean, and renewable.
The GOP cares nothing about the average person in the U.S. or their environment. Global warming is worsening all the time and in 10 years will be out of control and probably destroy the planet. The polar icecap is melting rapidly. There are reports of starving polar bears resorting to cannnibalism to survive. The Bush Administration is the most corrupt unethical ruthless and incompetent in U.S. history and the GOP is too power drunk to stop it. We suppose that you are still very proud of your party, Game. That only goes to show that you are in denial as deeply as all the other sheeple who still support Bush and his cronies.

Game, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong and wrong. As I have said on your blog it is useless to debate you because you don't want a debate or a solution. You just want to blame liberals for all the worlds problems and poo poo all my arguments. Rove leaked that is a fact. The economy is good for the corporations and the rich. Average citizens haven't been included. I could go on but please explain any of this if you are sooo Right.

Especially look at "direction of the country".

Even if you feel you are right and all this stuff is so good most people don't feel it in their personal lives. sorry.

By the way Game if you are wondering..If you want to know how to debate and find a solution then you should be searching for points of AGREEMENT to build a foundation and work from there. I honestly doubt you would find that any "fun".

Another addition. Liberals can't be classified as sheeple. They are independent thinkers that often agree. Many times not...remember, they aren't united, have no plan? Which is it.

We have no meantime when it comes to energy. It needs to happen NOW!!!!!! One event in the world could cripple us. This is a national EMERGENCY. We need a unified national effort to do this and fast. It is something that could unite us and free us from dependence on other countries. Like Mexico or Saudi. Gas doesn't need to be 3 dollars a gallon, it needs to be 10. Maybe that would wakeup the "someday" people.

sage,

I haven't responded to this and won't to game, because he has been told many a time by me both on here and on his own blog what and how he is.

He just refuses to take constructive and non-constructive criticism.

I've chosen over the last few days, therefore, to totally completely ignore him, because at the end of the day, he, like his cronies (where does that sound familiar from? Oh yeah. GWB) refuse to see reason, and keep on with what they do anyway, with no solution in sight.

At the same time, however, I've also chosen to ignore the bewitching wizards from here on out for the same reason.

It's very sad when people must be so shallow.

Yes, I've done my share of name-calling; but it's been to the right unless otherwise provocated. Yes, I get negative, but with reason. If people can't see what's really going on with this country, then they have major problems.

'nuff said.

Are you so lame as to believe that only Democrats from your blog would run away and lose, when I had to look all over for your answer to my questions to you (that you run from and have never answered-remember it started this blog) So it appears you run away and hide period, you have no answer to anything and everything what I accused you jerk republicans about is true, you haven't got the guts to inivite real opposition to your blog or I'd be there,I like fighting against the odds and republicans can't wipe their asses without an army to do it. (Invite me if you dare). First off jerk boy (and I say that because you have no intelligence thats why you teach PE and support that selfish loser Bush Administration, Drug Addict and drunk) We cannot even connect any of the so called hijackers to Al Queda, Bin Laden or any terrorist group that your afraid of - you see I am an American and I have never been afraid of losers like you or arabs so bring them on. So it appears you have reason to even start a war with the Afgans, and then make another excuse to attack the Iraqi's - you are wrong and definitely not American, you see we believe in Truth, HOnor, and Justice, three qualities that died in your present administration. You are proving your lack of intelligence when:

First you ran from me to cite any answers whatsoever, I imagine your blog is the same.

Second - Dummy more than 62% of Americans want out of your illegal and inhuman, UnAmerican War, justify it you cut and run republican.

Let the Iraqi's settle their own problems, and Game you unknowing jerk, this is what your God almighty leader said in the beginning, GWB First we'll take 30 days to whip those Iraqis, and then 10 more to get Saddam, and about 30 to clean up and get out, that amounts to 70 days, was he lying? Or did his favorite thing GREED jump on his I want all the oil I can get Head.

Third Jerk Economy sucks, you obviously don't live in reality. unemployment doesn't count those who don't have unemployment insurance and how come we slip further and further in poverty every year - you really don't want to expose the truth - no wonder you ran from me. The Two industries you mention as far as changing from the Democratic days well its really One - Fast Food, McDonalds and Burger Butt is waiting for you - minimum wage and no benefits, but your ready to give those up cause your a greedy republican - yes I believe you like to lie, another reason I'll never see your what must be a disjointed asshole of Blog - you have.

Fourth Rove is guilty as hell, but the Republican Line is to always ignore - it'll go away, just like closet Queeen republican Dedanna - Dedanna shut the door and bury your head up your ass - its the only thing you have in common with this jerk.

Fifth Here's my unofficial plan (And it will remain Unoffical for I need no approval from Draft dodgers and deserters - like those in the white house) and 62% of America in Nov - Impeach those asses get the hell out of Irag, you obviously have never been in a war either - I have I say bring them home, no more deaths that I blame all repulibans for, and you call every goal met, then how come we are still trying to gain control of Baghdag (Because your jerk president hasn't got the experience to win a war he can only Cut and Run and then Desert for his Drug Use) See if you can get him in your blog - opps he doesn't want to unite Americans I forgot, he is an total loser like his VP and neither want a United America they only funtion in a Divided Country - ever see either speak to an open forum of Americans - LIKE BILL DID, put your head back up your entrails you and Dedanna make a lovely couple.

SIXTH The High Gas prices, how about the high utility prices or do you comment on those too, certainly are not the Liberals Fault you complete asshole, who owns the corporations and the Utilities - Republicans, we already know who is in Oil and Gas - God I can't believe you are a teacher and this ignorant of the world around you, do you have a degree, did you ever have to take a history lesson, or maybe mathematics, its known as logic and god forbid don't repeat mistakes, like concentration camps (Guantanamo) ring any bells?? and for sure you are too stupid to go forward, we know Dedanna can't do it either so its not just a conserative thought.

and Seventh, You did not answer about leaving every child behind, as long as there are children starving in this country - I regret that I have but one life to give, and I can guarantee you, you do not have the courage, not only to help, but to care, and you are a teacher, what do you teach chickens?? And what about Veterans Benefits, of course you don't mention that, since you aren't one. They even have made it a National Hoiday - wonder if you ever heard of it, Dedanna hasn;t, course that Closet is fairly small and her head is jammed up her posterior like yours, great couple. How about tearing our Consstitution apart and taking our rights away, you think those Asses in the white house are spying on us like Hilter did in Germany to protect you from Terriorists - NO they are looking to building a data base for the Republican Party to help cheat in the next election, if the jerks were ever interested in honesty they would have welcomed recounts, but no, they are cowards cause they know they didn't win. This is not to mention our medical system and how 40,000,000 Americans have no health insureance and you think they actually care, ya I see donating so much attention help those who need it most, CLINTON DID JERK. Destroying our enviornment you can't be educated, Asshole destroy this planet and hang it up, we're all dead, if you are that stupid you deserve the polluted environment you must live in, yes be a republican - you have done so much for all of us, NOV _ IMPEACH, thats the only alternative we have.

The post from Sage & Sesame should've set Lame Game straight about his deluded beliefs, but it probably won't anymore than Donkey's or Wizard's will. You are right, Dedanna, Game is hopeless, but like most liberals we tend to give the others the benefit of the doubt and believe there's still hope for 'em.
Your big problem with The Maniac is getting in the middle of his arguments with The Game and Ron, so you will be better off if you don't respond. Maniac can get pretty emotionally intense at times and his posts reflect that, but as far as this country is concerned, his heart is in the right place. Both he and Linda are a lot smarter and more knowledgable than they are given credit for.
It seems to me that you feel a great need to defend Ron to Maniac. Keep in mind that you are about the only person on this blog who he will stick up for when Game attacks. He has too often been a "crocodile friend" to most of the rest of us and has definitely shown that he is only a registered Democrat for convenience's sake not because he is a REAL Democrat. He sure isn't interested in associating with or supporting the local party members, although the former party chair extended personal invitations to him on more than one occasion. I guess, we are not good enough for him, but it's HIS loss not ours.
His recent vicious Democrat bashing has shown his true colors and the DPCC is better off without him! Even The Game now considers Ron to be more conservative than liberal. Wonder if this was always the case or if someone is influencing him. Who knows? His "friend" is probably a Repuglican. Maybe Game should invite her to be on his blog as well as Ron.

This is what a soldier who got out of the military has to say about the economy and how the war is going in Iraq. I hope the Game will read it since he thinks things are going so well.
I went to a speech by another soldier who had returned. He said he was glad he had been part of it, but he said he was one of the lucky ones who had not been extended. He said the military calls him right along, now and threatens him if he does not reup. He wants to see the draft reinstated because, he says, it is the only way the war will end.
He did his year and doesn't regret it, but that year is ALL he is willing to do.
Anyway, THIS is what the first soldier I referred to wrote:

"Something else I would like to explain is about my home and job. I have neither as of yet, but it isn't for lack of trying. I have gone to job fairs, posted my resume all over the net (ie. monster.com, usajobs, hotjobs, etc). I am willing to relocate anywhere in the US or Europe and yet I still can't seem to find work. Something I have to admit is that I have been putting off telling you all about that because it is something I am embarrassed by. My other friends who have left the military have all found work or perused school and I have yet to become a productive member of society. Another thing is that school begins in August for both my children and we still don't know where we will live or if I will even have a job by then (knocking on wood right now). That is enough of my pity party, I just thought I should be honest with those of you who have been so loyal to me during my deployment to Iraq, my homecoming, and my exodus from the US Army."

Something else he wrote:

"Q: Can people win the war?

A: Yes, people can win the war (that is if we are talking about the war in Iraq). My caveat to that is that people from the United States (in particular our military) can not win the war. The people who can are the Iraqis, and that will happen only if they decide they want freedom.

Think about it like this, when you were 16 years old, if your daddy gave you a car you were happy, but it really didn't mean anything to you. If you wrecked it you are back where you started, so you drive it hard and don't really take care of it, however, if you bought your car on your own. You paid for it with your own hard work, and you earned it for yourself then you have a vested interest in that car and you will take the best damn care of it as you can.

The same goes for freedom. You can not give freedom to someone or to a group of someones without them taking it for granted (I am speaking about people who haven't really had it; it is different for a country to be liberated because they are just returning back to the freedom they had before). Look at our revolutionary war, if we had someone else fight it for us and kick out the British we wouldn't be where we are today, there is no way we would have appreciated our given freedom and we would not have been ready to stand on our own legs. The same goes for Iraq. If they really wanted to be free they would have been ready to fight for their own freedom.

That is why I believe that we have the problems with the "insurgency" there. The Iraqis aren't ready to get rid of them themselves because they don't appreciate what our idea of freedom is, and they weren't ready to sacrifice to get their own version of freedom."

This soldier was a dedicated Republican when he joined the military, but no longer. He liked Hackett and Murtha AND he said "give up your all American rights only over your dead bodies." I would imagine he was referring to illegal surveillance.

On a personal note as far as the economy is concerned -- my daughter just became an air traffic controller. It takes a LOT of very tough training. Their pay was just cut. New hires will start at $31,000. She started at $59,000. BUT, as the game would say, they both have jobs!! Rather like new hires at the meat packing plants starting at way less than workers used to get, AND with fewer benefits. But what does game and people like him care?? It does not affect THEM.

I wish the game would read what Republican Ron Paul of Texas says about the war. OR the Baghdad Girl Blogger. I don't imagine he ever reads Juan Cole -- people who actually know something about what is going on there.

He also might want to take a look at the FACTS on Afghanistan. Which is out of control again, although the media ignores it. But, as we all know, like all Bush supporters, he deals in fantasy and wishful thinking.

Any bump in the economy is because of war spending. And service jobs are always out there.

And we are borrowing money to pay for all of it. That money will have to be paid back with interest.

This is based on a cable received by the Washington Post showing just how good things are in Iraq. Guess the game did not read it.

"NEW YORK The Washington Post has obtained a cable, marked "sensitive," that it says show that just before President Bush left on a surprise trip last Monday to the Green Zone in Baghdad for an upbeat assessment of the situation there, "the U.S. Embassy in Iraq painted a starkly different portrait of increasing danger and hardship faced by its Iraqi employees."

This cable outlines, the Post reported Sunday, "the daily-worsening conditions for those who live outside the heavily guarded international zone: harassment, threats and the employees' constant fears that their neighbors will discover they work for the U.S. government."

It's actually far worse than that, as the details published below indicate, which include references to abductions, threats to women's rights, and "ethnic cleansing."

A PDF copy of the cable shows that it was sent to the SecState in Washington, D.C. from "AMEmbassy Baghdad" on June 6. The typed name at the very bottom is Khalilzad -- the name of the U.S. Ambassador, though it is not known if this means he wrote the memo or merely approved it.

The subject of the memo is: "Snapshots from the Office -- Public Affairs Staff Show Strains of Social Discord."

As a footnote in one of the 23 sections, the embassy relates, "An Arab newspaper editor told us he is preparing an extensive survey of ethnic cleansing, which he said is taking place in almost every Iraqi province, as political parties and their militiast are seemingly engaged in tit-for-tat reprisals all over Iraq."

Among the other troubling reports:

-- "Personal safety depends on good relations with the 'neighborhood' governments, who barricade streets and ward off outsiders. The central government, our staff says, is not relevant; even local mukhtars have been displaced or coopted by militias. People no longer trust most neighbors."

-- One embassy employee had a brother-in-law kidnapped. Another received a death threat, and then fled the country with her family.

-- Iraqi staff at the embassy, beginning in March and picking up in May, report "pervasive" harassment from Islamist and/or militia groups. Cuts in power and rising fuel prices "have diminished the quality of life." Conditions vary but even upscale neighborhoods "have visibly deteriorated" and one of them is now described as a "ghost town."

-- Two of the three female Iraqis in the public affairs office reported stepped-up harassment since mid-May...."some groups are pushing women to cover even their face, a step not taken in Iran even at its most conservative." One of the women is now wearing a full abaya after receiving direct threats.

-- It has also become "dangerous" for men to wear shorts in public and "they no longer allow their children to play outside in shorts." People who wear jeans in public have also come under attack.

-- Embassy employees are held in such low esteem their work must remain a secret and they live with constant fear that their cover will be blown. Of nine staffers, only four have told their families where they work. They all plan for their possible abductions. No one takes home their cell phones as this gives them away. One employee said criticism of the U.S. had grown so severe that most of her family believes the U.S. "is punishing populations as Saddam did."

-- Since April, the "demeanor" of guards in the Green Zone has changed, becoming more "militia-like," and some are now "taunting" embassy personnel or holding up their credentials and saying loudly that they work in the embassy: "Such information is a death sentence if overheard by the wrong people." For this reason, some have asked for press instead of embassy credentials.

-- "For at least six months, we have not been able to use any local staff members for translation at on-camera press events....We cannot call employees in on weekends or holidays without blowing their 'cover.'"

-- "More recently, we have begun shredding documents printed out that show local staff surnames. In March, a few staff members approached us to ask what provisions would we make for them if we evacuate."

-- The overall environment is one of "frayed social networks," with frequent actual or perceived insults. None of this is helped by lack of electricity. "One colleague told us he feels 'defeated' by circumstances, citing his example of being unable to help his two-year-old son who has asthma and cannot sleep in stiflng heat," which is now reaching 115 degrees.

-- "Another employee tell us that life outside the Green Zone has become 'emotionally draining.' He lives in a mostly Shiite area and claims to attend a funeral 'every evening.'"

-- Fuel lines have grown so long that one staffer spent 12 hours in line on his day off. "Employees all confirm that by the last week of May, they were getting one hour of power for every six hours without.....One staff member reported that a friend lives in a building that houses a new minister; within 24 hours of his appointment, her building had city power 24 hours a day."

-- The cable concludes that employees' "personal fears are reinforcing divisive sectarian or ethnic channels, despite talk of reconciliation by officials."

The final line of the Cable is: KHALILZAD"

Welcome back Lonna!

"Think about it like this, when you were 16 years old, if your daddy gave you a car you were happy, but it really didn't mean anything to you. If you wrecked it you are back where you started, so you drive it hard and don't really take care of it, however, if you bought your car on your own. You paid for it with your own hard work, and you earned it for yourself then you have a vested interest in that car and you will take the best damn care of it as you can."

This is absolutely on the money. A point I have tried to make over and over again. You would think this could be in terms the wingnuts could understand. Nope, it's all about cut and run.

Here is an interesting piece from the moderate voice.

Dedanna, it was editor and publisher who wrote the piece.

I have forgotten how to link again -- haven't written in 3 weeks, so here it is in its long form.

Thanks for the "welcome back," Ron

Another thing I saw. 10 contractors were abducted as well as the two poor soldiers who are doubtless receiving payback for the Abu Ghraib torture. Australia put up more pictures of torture by the U.S.

That is another thing people like the Game ignore. The private contractor business in "security" has gone way up. Blackwater has something like 100,000 employees. They get paid a ton. IF they get paid $100,000 individually, Blackwater probably gets half a million for each of them. All OUR taxpayer money. BUT we can't afford to feed people or give them health care while we spend $10 billion a month in Iraq.

Bombing in Afghanistan (our bombing OF Afghanistan) has gone way up, but the media ignores it.

AND another economic note, Delta wants to dump its pilots' pension plan. Just as U.S. Air and others have done. Some day, perhaps, they will decide to get rid of teachers' pensions. THEN Game might care.

One thing I have noticed about Republicans. They sure can't wait to line up for the benefits DEMOCRATS fought to get for them. Like disability, time and a half, pension plans -- all that. And, if they come on hard times, they are as likely to use food stamps as "liberals." Probably more so, is my guess. And they milk the farm programs. Rich men get paid to raise rice on their land and then use it as duck preserves for their private hunting pleasure. Democrats tried to stop people who made more than a certain amount of money from their non-farm jobs from getting any farm aid. But, the Republicans wouldn't go for that. They wanted the rich to get paid as well. So we pay for the government to get rid of wolves on Sam Donaldson's "vanity ranch," when he could certainly afford to do it himself. Paid for by the average taxpayer. The Republicans are the ones who would not allow themselves to be taxed more. Most of the richer Democrats, like Kerry and Bill Clinton (now) were against tax cuts for themselves.

The Republicans use the government as a means to support their rich friends. Garrison Keillor wrote a great article about it.

They will sacrifice NOTHING because we are at war. Bill Moyers made a great speech about that.

Re: First post to this thread (Re: Ron leaving ASAP)

Yes, Ron's leaving. So am I. I've decided what I'm going to do. I'm going back to California.

Soon as I find a job out there. Riverside. Around that area, anyway. I'd like to get a little closer to the coast, but Riverside is going to be all I'll be able to do for starters out there. At least i can get to the coast from Riverside on the wknds and vacation times a helluva lot easier than from here.

Yes, I know how California economy is. I'll still take it to here.
Take care.

Goin to California. You've been listening to Led Zepplin a lot lately I see. :-)
Actually I loved northern CA. Would go there in a minute if the opportunity presented its self. The thing that I enjoyed was the diversity. All kinds of people. What ever your interest, taste, persuasion they are there. To me this is a good thing.

Dedanna,
Just to let you know, I told Maniac that he is being way too hard on you. I think that he could've done without making those nasty comments to YOU. (Game deserves them, not you.) I don't agree with all your opinions, but in your own way you are trying to make a positive difference regarding what is going on in this country. Plus you hate Bush and his good buddies and that is what is most important here. As I said, you just got on the wrong side of Maniac by getting involved in his fights with others. Plus, he's not called Maniac for no reason. He can get pretty wild sometimes. LOL (He says he's so far left he's out in the parking lot.) He and Linda are really nice people who would give anyone (except a Bushie) the shirts off their backs.
As for R's comments: they won't care a bit and say they have no plans to come back to the blog on a regular basis. I'm not too sorry about what I said except that I shouldn't have insulted this person I don't know by suggesting that she might be a Repuglican (gasp-the horror of the idea). On the other hand, since he has proven to be a pseudo Democrat* and possible conservative, I doubt very much that he'd object to sleeping with the enemy. Hope he really is leaving ASAP as some of us will breathe a giant sigh of relief when he's gone.
*One would think that a Democrat who is so adverse to having contact with his local party except in a professional context (interviews, etc.) and who enjoys ripping the DNC apart so much might think about changing his voter registration.

Remember to focus on electing Democrats and defeating Republicans, maybe with the exception of a few in the Northeast. Won't be perfect but it is our best (only?) chance to try and recover. Ron, when you say Northern California do you mean San Francisco or Eureka, Garberville and on up the coast? Beautiful sceenary, interesting people, kind of expensive and not too many jobs, but well worth it if you can. And when the fog gets too much just go a few miles inland.

Good luck in N. CA, Dedanna, but take lots of money. :-) My son lives near Sacramento and tells me it is VERY expensive to live there, HIGH rents, very high gas prices, etc.

SOOO right Lonna. That independent pull your bootstraps thing they say is just rhetoric when you look at it from the world of reality.
Pull your bootstraps is the good and proper thing to do. For them to pretend that they do it any better than anybody else is a joke.

One thing you didn't LIE about, Ron, is that "Charlie" is every bit the miserable coldhearted boring curmudgeon you told me he is-also insincere. I should've believed you! Silly me (and I'm NOT bi-polar). Rather than continuing to get snippy when he crosses over into his phony DJ persona, I'm just opting out of the whole thing for my own peace of mind. Given your over-inflated ego, I felt that I had to make sure that you would truly believe I meant what I said. I am seriously angry with you and you know why. I don't like your trashing of my party or your treatment of my friends, either. Don't expect to hear from me, Linda, Bruce, or Diane again. We are all outta here!
P.S. Go ahead and delete every post I've made on this blog and The Maniac's, too. He doesn't care and neither do I.

wow! That was a short forever. Notice how others don't recieve the same treatment from me? What does that tell you? Treat me with respect and you will get the same. Treat me like shit and tell me how horrible I am and I will avoid you at all costs. It is so much easier to show love to people that show love to you.
I'm not interested in being dominated and sniped at constantly in my personal life. I would rather be friends with those who accept life as it is and not as they insist it should be.

Hey, I insist that life should be certain ways, Ron. Comes from being too bitter about the way it's been turned from in earlier years.

What say you now?
