The only thing we have to fear is fear its self. Nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror

If you didn't see Meet The Press Sunday, you missed Ken Mehlman, Chairman of the Republican National Committee. Tim Russert asked him to comment on the Downing Street Memo. Mehlman said, "Tim, that report has been discredited by everyone else who's looked at it since then. Whether it's the 911 Commission, whether it's the Senate, whoever's looked at this has said there was no effort to change the intelligence at all."
Now Howard Dean may be a little bit out there, and some comments are on the edge, but Mehlman is a liar. BIG TIME. In the whole hour he hardly could muster 15 minutes of truth, if that much.
The 911 Commission and Senate Committee specifically HAVE NOT addressed the "fixing of intelligence to fit policy." We're waiting...but the Republicans are stonewalling.
When it comes to intelligence on Iraq prior to the war, there is more evidence of "cherry-picking" than there is in Sara Lee's orchards at pie-making time.
