A Democrat Ventures Into Roswell.

From the Chaves County Democrats:

Roswell, May 26: On Friday, June 3, 2005, U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman will join local Democrats for a breakfast discussion of local needs. The Chaves County Democratic Party will host the event, which will begin at 7:00 AM at the Best Western Sally Port Inn.
"This breakfast marks the first of many such events with our federal, state, and local Democratic officials, as we gear up for the 2006 elections," said Virginia Garcia, county party chair. "We're delighted that Senator Bingaman will be in Roswell to talk about current and upcoming legislative initiatives. We urge all local Democrats to attend – and bring along a friend or two to welcome the senator and share their concerns!"
Tickets are $20 per person, and include J.D.'s "Ultimate Breakfast."

Senator Bingaman will also be on 1230AM on Friday Morning. Probably about 8:45am. I'm hoping he can stay over for the talk show. We're trying.

Thank you for letting people know of the Senators visit. The Donkey will be busy working at that hour. It is hard putting food on the donkey's family. The Donkey hopes the Senator understands we need to take care of all our Veterans and the current amount of money spent on our wounded warriors is a disgrace. The Donkey wants Americans home, not guarding the oil fields of Iraq.

I hope the donkey's concerns will be addressed on the show tomorrow as well as at the luncheon and breakfast. Hopefully, the donkey signs petitions for PACs, many of which get sent to Congress including to Sen. Bingamon, who does answer letters from his constituents. I used to get emails from Domenici and Pearce, too but I guess they've decided I'm too liberal to deserve a response.
Wouldn't social security and veteran's benefits count as values issues? Ron wanted to talk about values today, but as usual everyone wants to talk about the war, except for one caller who wants to talk about how Americans are tired of hearing/talking about the Iraq War.
