Have you considered linking other blogs to your blog?

I was glad to hear Frank Hudson on the radio. There does not seem to be too many pro Bush callers. Perhaps if you played "Let the eagle soar" they would call. Until then I will listen to like minded people.

I hope your show makes the station some money. Take care.

Caught a little of the show following "Roswell Says" today. Gah! Is this guy a Bushie or what?!! What I heard was about how hypocritical the left wing is for criticizing the far-right for using The Bible to justify themselves re:policy/ideology when the left wing does it to. Well, when the Liberals say that Jesus said to give to the poor, love your neighbor, etc. and that He is "The Prince of Peace", that's true. When the right wing uses The Bible to justify intolorance, hatred, war, greed, etc. I have a problem with it. Most of The Bible is history, myth, Psalms, and Proverbs. It's been retranslated repeatedly and every time, the meaning is changed a little. Whole books, etc. have been thrown out, esp. anything by the Gnostics. I can't see how anyone can claim that God who is supposed to be a LOVING father would inspire scripture that promotes evil. So, it's all right with me if the GOP uses the "word of God" as long as it doesn't pervert and twist it to justify its "fascist" hateful agenda.

The Roswell Daily record printed two things today , 5-19, which angered me.
The first was a story about a UFO over Northwest Roswell. I saw the object, it was clearly a clear weather balloon, just like the others that drift over Roswell over the years. When the sun sets, the ballon is still above the horizon and shines back with a brillant hue. Due to the twilight it looks like a huge light. It has happened before, but the RDR printed it up like it was a real ufo. Only a fool would not know what it was after taking the time to look at it.

They also printed a political cartoon with the lie that Newsweek was why people were killed. The US Miltary has stated the riots were not caused by Newsweek. For the RDR to say otherwise would mean the the Chairman of the Joint chief of staff is a Liar.

The Donkey likes this blog. The Donkey used to write the editor of the RDR. The editor would either throw away the letter or hold it for a month then print it. The RDR can not stop the Donkey from posting or baying on the radio.

Now the Donkey can tell the people what is going on in Roswell.

The Chaves County Democrats held a meeting tonight. Under the leadership of Virginia Garcia , Party Chair, and Vice chair Tom Jennings, 2006 will be the Year of the Donkey. Chaves county will have more registered Democrats than Republicans by November 2006. No amount of vote purges can stop it.

Hey-I didn't know the donkey was a Dem or I wouldn't have criticized him in the posting about why America is hated. Was that sarcasm? I must've missed it. How about having a century of the donkey? 'Course maybe all the Bushies will get taken up to Heaven in the rapture soon (NOT!). There's supposed to be 1,000 years of peace then-right? We could call it the milleneum of the donkey.
What I saw in the RDR that I didn't like was a letter from one of the religious righters. Gah! I consider myself a christian even though I don't attend mass regularly or read my Bible every day. I wouldn't tell anyone how to worship God, though, or that they even have to worship God. The religious righters are such hypocrites, calling themselves better christians than we are, and yet they support Bush's oil war, giving everything to the rich, and destroying the environment. I don't see how it's christian to drill for oil in the ANWR. Isn't it bad enough that these animals live in a fragile ecosystem and that polar bears are now endangered because the ice caps are melting and reducing their habitat. But no, it's apparently not christian to think about global warming, etc. Personally, I suspect that God loves polar bears more than He loves war hawks, but then I'm an unpatriotic godless tree hugging animal lover, I suppose.

In today's Roswell Daily Record, I was angered by the political cartoon that showed so very ugly muslums rioting because of Newsweek.

The RDR printed a story about the weather balloon. The story they should have printed yesterday.

The RDR printed a letter critical of republicans, It was clear the letter was written a month ago. This is a tactic of the RDR which I spoke of yesterday, before they did this.

I read the "Christain's " letter in the RDR today. Should I be concerned about being stoned? If the sinner's are stoned, who would be left on the City Council. I know some of them have commited adultry. If one commits adultry, then admits it a public prayer breakfast, is it proper to stone him after you finish the meal? Is praying in Public a stoning offense? After stoning an adulter, would they have to gather and stone themsleves? If a woman prays with her head unveiled, do you wait to stone her after the prayer or let her have right then?

The donkey found this speech, the donkey changed a few words in the speech. Read this speach to a good christian and ask if they agree with it.

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these liberals for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the liberal poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow my self to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice… And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows . For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people"

The Donkey will not say who wrote this speech. A smart person could use an interner search to find out who the author was.

"You're a group of Christian-based, conservative organizations with
several million dollars to spend. Do you: feed the hungry? Clothe the
poor? Don't be so naive! You blow the millions on a series of slickly-
worded, logic-bending ads espousing a widely-discredited theory that one
can be 'cured' of homosexuality through counseling and prayer."

Got an email from Moveon.org with the web address to sign a petition re: "the nuclear option" which would stop filibusters and get Bush's extremist judicial picks through. This is supposed to be decided on on Tuesday. Sign the petition and MAYBE the GOP will get the message.
They might like Corporate America's money, but they need OUR votes.

Re: that letter in the RDR re: Christianity, I did NOT like the holier than thou preaching attitude. I don't care if these folks want to read their Bibles (literally) every hour of the day, spend their lives in church, forgo drinking, dancing, going to the movies, watching tv, listening to music that isn't religious or maybe listening to music at all. If that is the way they want to practice THEIR religion it is their right.
What about the rights of the rest of us? It's what ticks me off so much. America is a melting pot and faith (of any kind) is a personal matter. Personally, I can find God in a lot of ways besides going to church. How about listening to beautiful music? I'm a big Beatles fan and I consider "Let it Be" to be a very spiritual song as it's about faith. Course SOME of the religious fanatics would say it's about worshiping the Virgin Mary and not God, but they are anti-Catholic.
Anyway, appreciating nature, looking into a baby's eyes, art, poetry, etc. are all ways of getting in touch with one's spiritual side. God (or Goddess) is everywhere and is in everything
around us. No one religion is more valid than another. The important things are to love God and your neighbor not what your religion, if any, is or what name you call God.
As for the godless tv networks, music, etc. we all have the right NOT to watch "Desperate Housewives" and listen to rap music-right? Personally, I would rather that the stupid reality shows would stop taking over the airwaves. They're dumbing down America faster than ever. Whatever happened to game shows? I'd rather watch something like "Jeopardy" than "Survivor" or "American Idol" any day, so I watch "Jeopardy" and I don't watch the reality shows. If it gets any worse, I can always turn off the tv and read a book which is what I should be doing anyway.

The Donkey loves the reality shows. The survivor show reminds him of his workplace except the turnover rate is not as swift and there is no Million dollars for winning.

Charles Manson liked the Beatles also especially the White Album.

After seeing pictures The desparate whitehouse wife running to her car, The Donkey became confused. The thought the whole world thought she was such a clever funny lady. The Donkey would have prefered a donkey joke over the horse joke, but the donkey can relate to it.

Re: the filibuster issue-to read Sen. Barbara Boxer's (D-CA) excellent speech on this issue, the link is:
http://www.barbaraboxer.com/news?id=0015
Among other things Sen. Boxer says that Bush has gotten 95% of his judicial nominees, but that's not good enough for the GOP.
She also discusses one of the extremist activist judges that we had to give in on to retain even minimal rights to filibuster judicial nominees. That's Janice Rogers Brown who is against 40 hr. work weeks and the minimum wage, who thinks employers should have the right to make racial slurs against their employees, that militant senior citizens are "canibalizing" their grandchildren to live well by collecting Social Security and other benefits, and who overturned the conviction of the rapist of a 17 yr. old girl, saying the victim gave her attacker mixed messages. I don't know about you, but I think if our Democratic representatives can be bullied and "blackmailed" into letting judges like this be approved we are in for a horrible future here in the U.S..

Why does the donkey love reality shows? Gah! "CSI", "Law and Order", and "E.R." are close enough to reality for me, and maybe I can learn something from them. What can we learn from "Fear Factor"? How to lie down in a container of worms and eat cockroaches? No thank you! To each his or her own.

P.S. I don't care if that psychopath Charlie Manson did love The Beatles. They made WONDERFUL music and worked for PEACE, etc. It's not their fault Manson liked them. Charlie's one of the few people I'm sure I would like to see get the death penalty. Thirty five years later and he still scares the daylights out of me. Anyone who can convince other people to kill for them for the reasons Charlie used (to start Armagedon) is really dangerous!
I don't blame the C/W singers for Bush liking them, but I blame them for liking Bush-yuk! Except for
Willie Nelson and The Dixie Chicks who had enough brains to vote for
John Kerry. Speaking of
Willie Nelson, did anyone ever hear his song "Whatever Happened to Peace on Earth?" played on a contemporary station in this neck of the woods? I didn't.

Found a good article on Veterans' benefits from "the Vanguard" (Univ. of South Alabama"
This is how Bush supports the troops..."

Guess this is what happens when a rich boy who used family connections to get into the Guard in order to avoid combat and someone who got 5 deferments serve as America's Commander in "Grief" and his 2nd in command.
