A Culture Of Life

Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.), chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee: "I believe that the president is sincere when he talks about a culture of life. I just wish he was more consistent."

My thoughts precisely. A culture of life would be wonderful. Caring about ALL the people. Some have said that the radical republicans only care about the beginning and end of life and not the culture of life inbetween. I agree to a degree. It seems even there they are selective. It's time for the Corporate Media to start finding people that need help to stay alive and promote a culture of life. Let's see if they live up to all their talk. This "culture of life" phrase fits the liberal agenda far better than it does the conservatives. This needs to become a part of the lexicon. Let's keep the culture of life a part of the discussion. To me this goes a long way toward addressing the "moral" viewpoint in a way people can relate to.
Teri Schiavo? I feel very sad. For all concerned. What makes it a truly horrible experience is that no matter what the outcome it's not going to be very satisfying. We should be more understanding to all parties concerned. The biggest sin in all of this is the fact that a sad personal drama has turned into a media sensation and ,literally, a federal case. This is not a place for government intervention. These are personal matters.
