Stop Them! Old People Are Ruining America!

A right wing lobbying group, USA Next , has hired veterans of the smear..er..swift boat veterans campaign to straighten out all those old people who obivously hate America.Click on the headline for link to entire NY Times article. This time it's social security and the enemies of America are the AARP.
Of course the Mighty Wurlitizer member will claim no connection to the White House, just as in the smear boat campaign. Kinda like the good cop, bad cop thing. As leader Jarvis says:

"We totally support the president's boldness on Social Security, but we don't coordinate with the White House or the Hill. We know the people at the White House agree with us and we agree with them."............"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the White House doesn't want anything to do with a group that is attacking the AARP," the official said, adding, "We are not going to drag them into this mess."
USA Next has been portraying AARP as a liberal organization out of step with Republican values, and is now trying to discredit its stance on Social Security. USA Next's campaign has involved appearances by its leaders, including Art Linkletter, its national chairman, on Fox News and various television programs. Its commercials are to be broadcast around the country in coming weeks.

AARP a "liberal" organization? Gee, you mean they side with those who think we have an obligation to take care of the old, frail and downtrodden? That we should care about each other? Why , I'm shocked! Who would have ever thought that they wouldn't side with the "we have enough to take care of ourselves, tough luck for you" crowd.
Easy to say if fortune smiled on you. Unfortunately most of us lead real lives as real people facing untold roadblocks to fortune and comfort. Many may have even given that money to others to help people important to them in a time of trial. But just listen to the wingers, it's still all your fault. If you were smart and greedy like them you wouldn't have this problem.

Mr. Jarvis said donors have included food, nutrition, energy and pharmaceutical companies, which have given money to support various advertising campaigns.

Lets see..the member supported or corporate supported group...which way should I go here? Who has my best interests at heart?

Maybe the ad will go something like this:
" I was there when these people were in their earning years. Those bills for college, a home, car, health insurance...totally fake. Why, they wrote those bills themselves!!!! I was there and I don't remember any bills coming in at all. Then when it was time to stand up for America they voted for liberals! Threw their credibility over the fence. Do you want to give your money to this lazy, lying bunch of liberals? I think not. Tell your congressman to privatize social security. Keep YOUR money in YOUR hands and let the ill prepared figure it out for themselves!
Ok, here's your job. Write your own commercial for USA Next. How good are you at smacking the AARP? See ya in the comments.
